It's only a debate 'again' because the company can't stop rebranding itself.

Re: Watches you can't justify but can't get out of your head

For years the Drive de Cartier was that watch for me. It made no sense since I wear mostly tool watches and I rarely have occasion to wear a dress watch, although the Drive is a sporty Cartier. Opinions... everybody has one. I research and then buy what I like, regardless of the opinions of others which I suppose is a contributing factor in making my watch collection the eclectic mess it is! It can be disappointing to see reviewers disparage something you own and like but they are free to ...

Re: HODINKEE Moonswatch article

Hodinkee? I gave up paying any attention to what they write about when Jack Forster left in August. It seems that they don’t like competition; I can’t think of any other reason why Watchville was shut. To illustrate the quality of the current output here is an article from Hodinkee’s style editor. ...

Re: Price increases in CW service dept.

Remember that one cell battery may not be the same as another cell battery. Many of the discount 'battery changers' use cheap replacements that can leak, swell or simply expire earlier than those from reputable brands. Precise batteries (make/item number) are specified by some movement suppliers for...

He is immensely passionate about his brand and the watches he wants to produce. I just wish they were a tad larger, but that would then detract from their vintage vibe. I find Nicholas' passion to be absolutely enthralling and I have looked at his watches often but, like you, I want a bigger case. ...
