Re: Rolex a discussion
There's a tread doing the rounds at the mo' https://www.christopherwardforum.com/other-brands/which-one-of-these-two-and-why-t57788.html which the poster asks us which watch we would choose between a Hublot and a Rolex Milgauss as he is considering purchasing one of the two. This led me to the Role...

Re: Dealing with Swiss boutiques!
I don't think you're being unreasonable at all, I'd not be a happy bunny at all. I remember Adrian Barker showing off the scratched AR coating on his Seamaster a while back so it seems it's quite a common thing. Rolex always seemed to take a kicking for not using an AR coating but it seems it's mayb...

Re: Watch running slow…question
I'd try what Ferg suggests if you haven't already. I've a watch that pretty much maintains zero if I sit it dial up when I'm not wearing it. Not that it deviates much in other positions but it's definitely it's sweet spot.

Re: Watch running slow…question
At 10 seconds per day slow I reckon you should just set it an hour and minute fast and then in a years time it'll be almost bang on perfect time. In two years time you'll be an hour and a minute slow. You'll only need to set the time once every two years

Re: Watch Combination Lock
^^^^apologies, I must've misread it whilst skimming.
I'm still struggling with it though. Sounds like a bit of a faff.

A four digit code wouldn't take long enough to break to put people off stealing a high end watch.

Re: A Special Birthday Present
That's brilliant Bob! My kids will only get a Rolex from me when I die and they'll have to squabble over it
Good health to your son, I hope he continues to do well.

Re: Craniosynostosis
I think this story has reached its conclusion this evening. No cables, drains, or tubes left and no sticky pads to be seen. Running about like a mad hatter and confirmed to be going home in the morning. You wouldn't have a clue what he's dealt with by looking at this photo, I'm very proud of this li...

Re: Craniosynostosis
What an amazingly overwhelming response folks. I'm also delighted that this has been taken as intended. It's been a strange journey because we've known he's needed this surgery since he was a day old thanks to a very on the ball peadiatrition at Wexham Park hospital in Slough. Whilst it's hung over ...

Re: Craniosynostosis
^^^^JR is one of 5 UK "supercentres" that deal with Craniosynostosis. The cranio team is amazing and because of them everywhere they go in the hospital is well on it in terms of how they do things. As for RMH, it's used well by cranio families but even at JR the norm is only 2 surgeries pe...

Re: Craniosynostosis
Cheers all, he's been sat up and managed to eat an adult sized portion of a hospital shepherds pie earlier (I'm not sure I could match such a feat). I've just left him sleeping and let his mum take over for a bit. I'll try and post a proper update later. What I forgot when posting earlier was to men...

Craniosynostosis
My youngest had surgery for the above yesterday. I'm posting this not for sympathy but for awareness as it's something that not many have heard of and there's even a huge amount of ignorance in the medical profession regarding it. A brief explanation (and in a non scientific way) is that this is kno...
