Re: Tribus Watches
Simon Rimmer says he loves his Tribus watch and is sorry to see them go but he agrees with them. As it now stand all 6-“breakaway” clubs have ditched the idea. Think the whole thing was miss judged and the owners may find themselves the target of the fans from now on.

Re: What is this movement like?
I received it in December. A lovely watch, I like it on both strap and bracelet. But fiddly to change about as they are engineered very tightly I had a dealer in Southampton switch from strap to metal so i didn't damage it. Just had a FB message from Simon Jesse who is organising the EB and he said...

Re: What is this movement like?
I bet the submariners loved those skull & crossbones...one in the eye for the navy! Stupidly I had always thought Elliot Brown were an American brand, but it seems they are based in Dorset, of all places. They only made 50 or 60 with the Skull n Crossbones on them. We had a choice between a blu...

Re: What is this movement like?
It will have 1664 at the 4 o'clock position (year Royal was born) Corps badge at 6 o'clock, and on case back. second hand will have corps colours and tipped with commando green, looks a decent watch. I would have preferred an auto, but the quartz keeps the price down elliot brown watch. Also "...

Re: The Curmudgeons Corner
Mrs O decided we need a new toaster, so she picked one for a well know High Street shop - used to have a catalog - I was dispatched today to pick it up. Got it and came home, so far so good. Got it out the box and switched it on as recommended by the maker. Then it was time to test it with a couple ...

Re: Where’s CW on your ladder?
I have more CW watches than any other make - 5-of my own and one for the wife - 2-EBs. So CW is top of my ladder - for now. Who knows something else may catch my eye but I’m happy just now.

Mesh straps/bracelets
Came across a French company - Esprit-nato - last week. Picked up a couple of mesh straps/bracelets with QR pins from them. Silver one for the C65 Dartmouth and a black one for the Holton. The QR bars can be removed so I can use the Hilton’s screw in bar as usual. Highly recommended: E3B05B56-CB03-4...
