Re: Automatic Watch Assistance
I have some automatics that are stiffer to wind manually than others. One of the worst is a Calvin Klein with an ETA 2824 movement. It's really stiff. I rarely wear it for that reason. It's probably an automatic watch thing, but my hand wind watches are all very easy to wind. 3 C65s, and a speedmast...

Re: When the minute hand is at the top of the hour...
I briefly had a 595 some years ago that I thought was very slightly off, and that was only a 2 hander. I don't think I've noticed a misalignment on any other watches CW and non CW. It shouldn't be that hard to get right, should it? I imagine they fit both hands at 12, as that ought to be the easiest...

Re: Incoming
Thinking back I think I'm wrong and that it may or probably does have a rotating bezel but what I can say is that it's not a diver. I have never actually needed to use the functionality of a rotating bezel on any of my watches to date. The bezel is a nice tactile feature. I often use it as a parkin...

Re: What watches look good on mesh?
Mesh is nice when you get used to it. Basic Milanese mesh is quite thin, only about 1.2mm (maybe it's 1.8mm) thick from memory. I have a couple of watches with a thicker mesh, about 3mm and they seem a nice quality. Not shark mesh, still Milanese style. I've not been able to find that thickness in a...

Re: CW box and chronometer certificate
Bahnstormer_vRS The smaller box is interesting. Easier to store. Tribus shipped their watches in a much smaller package than CW. I don't recall offhand whether it was wood or just card. CW used to be able to ship non bracelet watches with the strap flat. I suppose they can't do that with the new sm...

Re: January 2024 Sale
More items on Clearance page. As I’ve previously mentioned, in my time on Forum I’ve never seen this before!! Do you think? When new stock is added seemingly every other day, it feels like the good old days. The C63 Sealander Elite new logo came as a surprise and I'm 'stonished that it's still ther...

Re: January 2024 Sale
I keep looking at that blue C60 at 30% off. I kept doing the same, and had it in my cart several times before finally pulling the trigger today. After viewing some videos of the watch I decided I couldn't pass on picking it up. The shade of blue used in the dial and bezel are near perfection to my ...

Re: The Non-Curmudgeons Corner
@Mikkei4 I reckon if you sent it directly to omega pointing out that the pusher dropped off just outside warranty they would do something for you. Surely they can't be made in a way that they could just detach? A real problem is finding an insured carrier at the watch value that's likely to be invo...

Re: BumbleBeasts with broken wings. Incident Analysis, and attempt to find Root Cause.
That's not a misalignment really is it. That sounds like a movement manufacturing issue, for a chronograph to not reset correctly to 12. I expect it would be doing that when Selitta made it. You might not remember, but was it centred at 12 when you got it, but didn't reset on the first use, or did i...

Some great pictures, and quite a start to this new section. @JAFO Just to be clear, comments are great, though we just ask members not to start new threads here. I thought we couldn't start threads at all, not that we shouldn't. Based on that, I didn't think we could even reply to them, hence my su...
