Re: Matthew and Son - Opinions Needed!
The MAS Irukandji was launched on Kickstarter last year, with a choice of colours and (I think) a choice of crown positions. I’m not a backer, but am a member of a FB group where a few members have bought them and they are very happy with the watch and the way the campaign was run and executed. Matt...

Re: Improved 3D Printed Watch Winder Project
I’m impressed. The Arduino looks really good, and the way you can customise the TPD and direction is very helpful.

Re: “ISH” Time returns: the Meistersinger Metris
Thanks for taking the time to build up the back story. I enjoy reading about the motivations and the journeys that we go through chasing this obsession we all share. Interesting looking watch and definitely as one gets old (me, not you), precision becomes far less important..... I share your admirat...

Re: A new Brellum!
These are now available for order in black DLC or steel on the Brellum website. Price is CHF 3220, but if you are located outside Switzerland, the price without VAT is CHF 2990. Expect to pay import tax, which would add about £500 in the UK. They look absolutely amazing, priced above the list price ...

Impressive collection Guy. After I read your OP, my reaction was “is that all?” because I seem to recall a year or two ago you seemed to have a new incoming every week or so......
Then I saw your follow up with “the others”.
Very impressive.

Re: CW's first TV Advert
I was a bit surprised, with this concerted push for a) a younger customer base and b) augmenting sales in the USA that they went with this faux 1950s RP “English Gentry” style of delivery. Assume it was meant to be tongue in cheek, but I thought it was a bit cheesy.

Re: How Have Your Tastes Changed
My tastes haven’t changed so much. I still buy and wear mostly automatic (desk) divers, GMT/WT & chronographs. The two factors that have changed are: 1) I have increased the amount of money I deem acceptable for a watch 2) I am being more selective - that is, if a piece is perfect apart from one...

Deliveries expected several days ago, and Royal Mail’s tracking system only tracks when they have already attempted delivery.

Re: Great move from CW
I’m afraid I see this as nothing more than a PR exercise. 10 NHS workers get a free watch. The others, working just as hard, taking just as much risk, get nothing. How exactly is this helping anyone apart from 10 individuals?

Well that’s pretty conclusive. The appraiser missed a trick, surely?

Welcome. A very impressive looking piece, beautiful detail. Have you got some documentation which dates it to 1899?

Re: C7 Rapide Automatic Strap Alternative
^^^ I have 2 Erikasoriginals and they are excellent, but since the price increase, IMV, too expensive now. Depends how you see it, but if you picked up that last C7 in the sale for under £350, then €75 for a strap is rather a lot. Having said that, you’ve got a great saving, so maybe splash out? In ...

Thanks for posting this. It’s actually one of a series of 3 covering the manufacture of the movement, case & dial and finally the leather strap.
I like WatchAdvisor - they have some marvellous detailed videos, so I’ve just subscribed.

Forever watch...
The Zelos Mako is a great 40mm every day wear. They’re mostly sold out but regularly turn up used. The V3 turned a little more modern with a new range of dials, but for me, the V2 is the best of the lot. I have the V1 in bronze; the crown is a smidgen too small, and this was improved on the V2 by ad...
