A sort of Blues Brothers trio, you might say.

Re: My favourite CW watch (and anniversary suggstion)
A few things to say here, Paul. 1. That is a really lovely collection - congratulations. 2. As you might expect, the little JLC stands out for me. 3. I think your idea for a 10th anniversary piece is very appropriate. I had the gold cased C5, again with a lovely (SW200) movement. I moved it on after...

Re: RLT Watches
I belong to their forum "The Watch Forum", but there is nowhere near as much discussion of RLT on there as there is of CW on here. I must confess I've not been tempted by them, and I even have to look on the website to see which watch they're referring to!

Re: Britain vs Great Britain vs United Kingdom vs England
Ah yes, Handegg. We call that Rugby, though there are a few subtle differences, such as not wearing tin hats or stopping the game every 5 seconds for a commercial break. Incidentally, the USA, along with Mexico, often does qualify for the World Cup. To achieve this remarkable feat they have to beat ...

Re: Britain vs Great Britain vs United Kingdom vs England
Another important difference, as you will see later this year. England traditionally loses the quarter-final of the football (soccer to you) World Cup, amid national recriminations and calls for the public execution of the coach, though interestingly not of the second-rate players. The other parts o...

Re: Britain vs Great Britain vs United Kingdom vs England
Yes. Great Britain is the main island of the British Isles*, and comprises the mainland parts of England, Scotland and Wales. The United Kingdom is the Sovereign territory that includes England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. England is one of the countries of the United Kingdom, the largest ...

Re: Tag Kirium
From your previous posts you are obviously keen on the Kirium and really want to get hold of one. From experience I would say shop around. $600 doesn't sound too dear, but I would want to know what I was buying, and perhaps hold out for a good one that you can handle before you buy. It's tempting to...

Re: TAG Heuer
A couple of years ago I was on holiday and became friendly with an Irish chap who wore the most beautiful cream-faced Carrera, a few years old IIRR, and not too big. When a bunch of us went out one evening Michael and I swapped watches (just for the evening, obviously). It was a lovely thing to wear...

Thank you, Richard. This was only my second ever vintage piece and, like the Omega that started me off, it's an absolute keeper.Berkshire wrote:Unknown brand to me, elegant Sunday choice.
