Re: My Collection Has Shifted A Lot in a Week! (2 In and 4 Out)

I misread your title as 12 in 4 out for some reason

Re: missF - March 2024

The one headed - “missF - June 2023 - I’m done!” :lol: :) Haha! I think I knew I was reaching at that point for something that wasn't quite there yet. But the quality and simplicity of the mkxvi led me to the quality and simplicity of the AT. And the quality and simplicity of the Sandstorm (and the...

Re: missF - March 2024

@Thegreyman
You're right about concentric circles Patrick :lol: I've been aware of that since I got the Sandstorm I think. Just one lottery win and I could add to the concentric circle part of my collection :D

@Bahnstormer_vRS
Guy, I don't know how this all works between forum and tapatalk....
The pic of Neo appeared randomly when I first posted the thread. I got rid of the pic, and the link after a few tries.
He's obviously keen to hang on and be famous on Tapatalk. You know how greyhounds are :lol: :D

Re: missF - March 2024

Thank you for sharing, I really enjoyed reading about the evolution of your collection this morning. I do love the AT, I’ve ordered a pre-owned one myself in the last few days, waiting for it to be delivered this week. I may have to add my own SOTC post too when that arrives. Thanks again for shari...

I've looked at chronographs down the years, but they've just never appealed. Don't even feel too much of an itch to try one out. Dive watches on the other hand, I keep trying them out and keep selling them :lol:

Re: missF - March 2024

Do you consider your journey complete? Have you simply reached a significant milestone and if so, where next? I'm not sure if the journey's quite complete. There are little niggles like vintage seiko, and what to do about the incredible new CW Moonglow :lol: But I feel like I look at watches now an...

missF - March 2024

This is my ten-year-a-watchie collection :D IMG_4451.jpeg After a long time being a one-watchie, and a few years of flipping, one watch arrived that settled everything, and everything has fallen into place around this one watch. From the very early days I've been looking for a white dial bracelet wa...

Re: Watch Storage

I've done a wee dive on this topic a number times and found no conclusive conclusion. There is the issue of lubricants as Amor Vincit Omnia says, and there is the issue of wear on components over time if you keep a watch wound. Some will tell you that watches are like cars, and you wouldn't leave yo...

Re: Birthday watches

It's great when you can use your advanced old age as another excuse to buy a watch :lol: :thumbup:

I've never fully committed to finding a birth year watch but I do run a '1974' search on Chrono24 from time to time to see what's around. :thumbup:

Re: My new C60 Sapphire is better than my Breitling, Rolex and Omegas

I think you're right that it's in the comparison with other watches that you get an idea of the quality of CW watches. At one point because of timing and this and that I ended up receiving the CW atoll shark white at the same time as another white dial watch (German brand, long history, massive watc...

I'd love this one - with a slightly smaller L2L. It's the brand that got away for me ....

I remember @bspj saying on an odd occasion that it was a watch he liked to look at on other people's wrists :thumbup:

And here's your daylight shot. I've never taken a wrist shot outside before - this is so embarrassing! :lol:
