Re: C7 Rosso Corsa Service
I don't see why any competent watch repairer wouldn't be able to service and regulate your watch. Not sure what the advantage of not returning to CW would be though unless you have someone local who is good. In which case, I would support the local business. That way they may still be there when you...

Re: How undercover Met Police officers caught designer watch thieves
300 watches stolen in a six month period. 31 robbers arrested in a 12 month period. And 14 sentenced. Wow. That must have the criminals quaking in their shoes.

Re: A question for the retirees
Firstly, well done Drew for making the leap into retirement. I know from your posts that you've become less happy with work over the last few years I took early retirement eight years ago. I set up a gardening business to keep me busy in summer (I only worked during BST) which gave me a lot of flexi...

Re: See the LIGHT
I've always quite admired Schofield watches (the Telemark in particular) so it's great to see a smaller offering. And it looks like a good one. I would expect a better warranty than two years for the price though.

If you like it, wear it. If wearing it makes you smile then you should definitely wear it. Or if other people don't like it, defiantly wear it.What do we think?
Yours is the only opinion that really matters.

Everyone has taste. Probably different to mine, but I would hope that I am never arrogant enough to think mine is better.

Re: What do you do with a new watch?
Well, the simple answer to the question is - I wear it. If I wasn't going to wear it then I wouldn't have bought it. Watches are always a considered purchase for me. I really don't understand people who spend thousands on a watch (or anything really) and then don't "get on with it". They c...

Re: How do your divers look after diving?
I'm not a diver but I have worn watches while sea swimming. General advice is to wash in clean water as soon as possible (I also use a natural bristle toothbrush). My watches look fine. It's the same with most things - if you look after them, they'll be OK.

Re: Rubber 21mm strap with bronze buckle?
I’ve bought bronze buckles previously and sometimes they are a different type of bronze so don’t always match the watch You are of course correct. I've gone down the "buy separate" route also. What I found was that the buckle, no doubt coming into contact with clothing etc. had a very dif...

And once you do, there is a deeper rabbit hole of shoe care products ... I could save you the trouble by saying that Saphir products are as good as you can get, but where would be the fun in that?it would be better for me to buy a quality pair

Re: Which CW is most like the Tudor Ranger?
Just my opinion, but if there's an item that you really attracted to, then buying something that's a "bit like" it will never be satisfactory and you will still want it. Then you will sell the CW or whatever at a loss to fund the purchase. I refer you to "Sales corner" as exhibit...

Re: Text misalignment on c65 Dune white sand?
I had a look at the Celest on the CW website and, when the image is made (much) larger, the 'automatic' text does look slightly askew to me As in the 'M' is centered and 'auto and 'aric' don't take up the same amount of space on either side due to the letter 'I' being narrow. Now, that's making the ...

Re: Do you do NY resolutions?
I don't do "New year" resolutions as such, but it's a good time of year to reflect and plan targets for the year. More seasonal though - like painting the fence in Spring, spending a few hours a week (on dry days) working on my Land Rover. painting the kitchen on a nice day (light enough t...
