Re: Wrist Watch Fatigue?

There is no such thing as a wrong wrist for watch wear. One may wear a watch on the left wrist, as I did for decades, or one may wear a watch on the right wrist, as I did whilst in graduate school. Taking notes in multiple classes for two years was a trying experience, for my left handedness made th...

Re: What watch have you worn most during 2022?

Hate to admit, but

Apple watch SE for work
Marathon Navigator for night
Speedmaster the rest of the time

Confess to wearing both Apple watch and Speedy when not working.
Best of both worlds.

Re: HODINKEE Moonswatch article

I have to agree with Greg on this. Fun to try out, but not if I must go out of my way, or pay scalper's prices.

Condolences

I’ve only now seen the news of Queen Elizabeth’s passing. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. She was a great ruler, and a great woman. She will be missed.

Re: Great Quartz Watch Video for Collectors

Interesting video, informative and even-handed imo. I own a number of quartz watches, mainly based on their appeal to me in terms of construction, function, and looks. There are several Marathon Navigators, which have the tritium lume and field watch look. There are several CW chronographs, 2 BBMF m...

Re: What watch have you worn most during 2021?

For me it would be as follows: 1. Apple Watch (worn at work mainly, because of the need to limit items brought through the checkpoints, and it has great functionality) 2. Speedmaster Moonwatch (my most worn watch since the day it was purchased) 3. Marathon Navigator. (worn mainly at night because of...

Re: Non CW of the Day

Unsure where to put this, here or vintage, so chose here for Christmas Day. 1951 build Rolex OP, bought in the Athens MAAG PX in 1954. Dad was a radio operator on a C-119 Flying Boxcar which was doing duty in the Med flying mail and cargo. The crew was based in Athens, and flew between there and Whe...

Re: What book are you reading

Not reading anything just now, very occupied with work. But I've seen an article on Mel Brooks memoir, and think I'll get that. I've really enjoyed his films, so it should be good.

Re: Incoming. Can you guess?

Steve, if you google "Casio 3159 instructions," you should be rewarded with a number of much larger type downloadable/printable instructions.
Worked for me, anyway.

Re: iPhone 12 Series - MagSafe - Mechanical Movements

I have no experience with the iPhone 11/12 series phones, but my iPhone 6 is equipped with a Mophie battery/protective case that has a magnet inside. It came as part of a kit enabling me to use the iPhone in my car as a navigation device, in the same manner as one would use the Garmin devices, but w...
