Re: The Golf Topic

Almost walked in halfway through the back 9 today. I continually have a good front 9 (+4 today) and then fade away as soon as I hit the turn (+15) for +19 total. Of my 5 submitted scores, the same thing has happened three times (across two different courses). Trying to figure out if it's a fitness ...

I’d rather a regular hit out of the centre of my modern sledgehammer than a much lower success rate with a Persimmon!

Re: The Golf Topic

^ All sounds very good so well done and seemingly from a couple of those scores it looks like there's still potential for further reductions in your HI during the rest of the summer. Yes….my bad shots are now (in the main) not that bad and easily recoverable from. Not long back from an on...

Re: The Golf Topic

So after spending the best part of 9 months completely rebuilding my swing it seems that my game is coming back. I have got to the point where I don’t have to think about my swing now (rather than go thru’ the mechanics of it as a practice swing and have to keep thinking about what I was doing) and ...

Sharing your problems is good and people on the forum will be happy to chat but…and I can’t say this forcefully enough….call The Samaritans now and talk to them.

Seems a friend of mine has just bought a box of them so I’m nabbing a sleeve to try them out …..putting practice only though!

Re: The Golf Topic

If you used a golf ball line marker such as this https://www.clubhousegolf.co.uk/acatalog/GrooveFix-LineFix-360-Ball-Line-Marker-Blue.html?gclid=CjwKCAiA24SPBhB0EiwAjBgkhnKxICYWah_Cy3oaxfLbwd5bn5Fgj8ZYIv1CtatZ6BkpiS1qcxyjqxoCQQ8QAvD_BwE couldn’t you just mark around the ball with a bright colour and...

Re: The Golf Topic

Oh…balls lost per season. Don’t like to think. Let’s just say somewhere between more than I would like and gazillions 😁 I seem to lose an inordinate amount pointlessly. For instance I was practicing chipping a while ago and one ball ran just off the green…and I mean maybe a foot…into some not very l...

Re: The Golf Topic

Haven’t managed to get out since about 16th December due to weather, work and life in general. Didn’t even get to the driving range until a Wednesday this week. That was an experience! The combination of time away and also a minor injury hasn’t done my swing any good it seems. I managed a short lesso...

Re: Pre-launch Revival Model Exclusive

I had the intention of probably buying a C5 but found that I just didn’t have the urge to do so. The C8, however, was another matter. I owned an original C8 and was quite tempted but he revival watch. However (and this is an issue which stopped me buying CW watches for a while) it has that hideous ho...

Re: Helm watches - thumbs up

I meant to post this up a month or so ago but got distracted and then forgot! Anyhow, seems I added a third Helm to my collection. The Khuraburi. This is another 300m dive watch which is 42mm with 22mm lugs and a Seiko movement (NH38).Another well made watch which again is incredible value for money....

Re: Pre-launch Revival Model Exclusive

I always liked the C5….I think I had 4 or 5 of them in total. I have a vague recollection of paying about what, £150?, back then.
