Re: C63 Sealander Collection

I feel like it’s a trend thing. Almost the same with mobile phones. For a long while as the technology improved, it was a status symbol to have the smallest phone on the market. Then smartphones came along and all of a sudden the trend was reversed. As a 6ft tall, quite broad shouldered guy but with...

Re: C63 Sealander GMT. Colour Visuals

Very interesting. The green dial trend is something I was half expecting to see CW jump on when these new watches were first teased.

Re: C63 Sealander Collection

So many plus points from these new designs. Firstly, the sizing is spot on for someone like me cursed with slim wrists. 39mm is my sweet spot and to be honest I’d become resigned to everything being a minimum of 40mm from now on, so this has been a pleasant surprise. Secondly, I love the symmetry. T...

Re: C60 Sapphire - Other Sizes

Other sizes aside, what about other colours?

I saw a red prototype surfaced recently on Reddit. I wonder if that was a one off or something they’ll consider releasing properly?

Re: My New C60 Bronze Ombré has arrived

Very sharp watch. Congratulations! Looks great. Definitely prefer the subtle changes on the new version. What went into your decision on selecting the particular strap? I'm sort of torn between that strap and the distressed leather. Sent from my Galaxy S20 using Tapatalk I was also discouraged by q...

Re: Incoming Flighty arrived - 4th watch in four weeks

Was one of these YouTubers The Urban Gentry by any chance?
He’s been raving about his for years and I absolutely love the watch, but feel it might be a bit big for my tiny wrist.

Re: Q1 watch wear report; brought to you by “On My Wrist”

Great thread. I love tracking stats like this. I do a similar thing for films I’ve watched at the cinema throughout the year (or at least I did pre-pandemic). It’s great to look back on in December. Alas, my own watch collection is too modest at present to make an app like this worthwhile. Incidenta...

Re: My New C60 Bronze Ombré has arrived

I had the C65 and really liked it, but I didn’t wear it at all for about a year (owing to the pandemic mostly) and so I recently flipped it to free up money for another non-watch purchase. I must admit I do miss it, and I can see myself buying another CW bronze in the future. As you say, it was a bi...

Re: Brands to consider on a £1500 budget

Some great suggestions here, thanks guys.

Mido is a brand I'd only heard of in passing, but I'm just perusing their website and they have some stunning options. I'm not looking to pull the trigger until much later in the year though, so I'm still holding out hope for a CW that blows me away.

Re: Brands to consider on a £1500 budget

Thanks all for the suggestions - I’m quite blown away by the volume and thoughtfulness of the replies. I must admit that I’d dismissed Tudor given my budget, so it’s very interesting to learn that they do offer slightly more affordable options. Perhaps I should also have mentioned that I’m cursed wi...

Brands to consider on a £1500 budget

Hi all I’m looking to treat myself towards the end of the year with what would be my most expensive purchase to date - around the £1500 mark. I’m curious as to what brands you guys would consider for that budget. So far I’ve looked into the ‘usual suspects’, the likes of Longines, Tissot, Oris, Seik...

There are none, currently.

Expect the next £100 off with the next copy of Loupe.

Re: Where’s CW on your ladder?

It's number one for me, given that I've owned approximately 10 watches in my lifetime and four have been CWs.

They hit the sweet spot for me in terms of price (£500 - £1000), quality, looks, and not being too ubiquitous.

Picked up a piece in Black Friday last year and another a couple of weeks later (what I assume was a return)
