Re: Tide Strap Wear

The wear looks a little like "character" to me but it probably shouldn't be happening so soon.

Extremely nice watch. Did you say you had to go outside the AD network to get it?

If I didn't know better I would say it is almost like they want me to buy another watch....

Re: Battle of Britain

Pretty impressive to get that many spits together at one time. I've only ever seen 1 and it was in a museum.

Re: NPD T4 project

The C60 is nearly perfect so keep it that way. You don't see a sub getting massive updates. What to Keep: WR rating-It is sufficient for a dive watch. Anything more is near pointless. Less would also not be desirable. Unidirectional bezel-Perfect Solid Case back-A work of art What to add: Color-Most...

Re: White C63 readability?

While I wish CW did something to enhance the contrast between hands and dial I'll be honest, I am not deterred. I admit that I thought for a minute about contacting their bespoke department and seeing if I could get darker hands and indexes, maybe even a solid back. Then I laughed at myself and real...

White C63 readability?

My first, and so far only, CW is a Trident in white and it is beautiful. It is the one watch that I own that everyone in my family admires. My only issue with it is that in low-light, and with old eyes, I find it hard to read. I don't have an opinion on the "Christopher Ward" being at the ...

Re: Top off in the Morning or Watch Winder Overnight

I am not clear on a point. Specifically are you only having issues with 1 watch? I don't want to come across as questioning your level of activity. I myself have a desk job now and don't move as much. Even so, I cannot recall have a self-wind watch not able to keep enough of a power reserve from sim...

You should get any color you want as long as it is black. JK, the red looks great. I hope you enjoy it. Sadly, most people will not notice except another horophile.

Re: 100M waterproof vs 150M water resistant?

I just realized that their calculations are off by 1 atm although clearly they don't mean that 30 meters should be taken to 30 meters. It should be noted that at 30 meters of water you are at 4 atm, not 3.

Re: F1 2021 Motorsport Thread

It's a shame the weather didn't work out and while I wanted to see a race, if they had raced, it would have been expensive. Lot's of cars would have been destroyed I have no doubt.

Re: Oh what a dilemma!

I get it. My wife bought me a Speedmaster. A few months later I bought me a C60. Fortunately she doesn't pay much attention and hasn't noticed that now I rarely wear the Omega but I do worry that if I pick up another watch she might get upset. Maybe you should push it as a "bargain". My wi...

Re: 100M waterproof vs 150M water resistant?

I appreciate the answers. I don't think "proof" and "resistant" are the same thing and the chart above doesn't actually cover the depth rating. I am not sure what half a scuba dive is if that is what they are trying to say with marking it at 150. I suppose honestly it is immateri...

100M waterproof vs 150M water resistant?

I was lusting after the Sealander and I started to look at the watches that inspired it. I noticed that the Explorer is 100M "waterproof" while the Sealander is 150M water resistant. Those terms are a little confusing to me. How does that compare? I assume either could take a swim down to ...

Re: My C65 Trident GMT isn't waterproof!

Something I've never really thought about, so are CW dive watches just in the style of a dive watch or are they actually up to the job, pressure tested etc at the manufacturing stage? If not then it reminds me of those really cheap Chrono watches where the Chrono dials are just for show. I hope tha...
