Re: Buy a 2020 Rolex or order new & wait? Same ref & price
No big wait for that watch. The wife has an ‘in’ with two ADs so if you’re desperate PM me. No big waitlist on that model however so it would be daft to pay RRP+ on the grey market imho.

Re: Am I overdoing it? Will I get banned by CW?
So I found out about CW through a reddit post of someone posting their 12 watch. Looked stunning. Ordered 3 watches in colours and sizes, realised they all don't fit me perfectly, I need a 38mm and they only had 36mm and 40mm. Returned all. Visited CW showroom. Bought a 38mm Trident Pro 300m which ...

Don’t take this the wrong way, Drew…but from the pictures I have seen, I’d spend as much time as possible with that lovely lady I’ve seen you with as is humanly possible. Thank the Lord that she is she short-sighted and…TRAVEL!

Re: Venezianico
I’ve owned and sold one. Nice watches. My pal bought it off me…he (illogically) detests the Swiss so asked me to find a watch with nothing Swiss in it..he’s a strange hombré. I’m not sure, but I do hope the one he has doesn’t have the Japanese movement in it…😉 I got engaged in Venice, at the Poste V...

Re: Quite a find for £70!
Omega found 18 of the original movements, as used in that model, and did an LE run of 18 watches a few years ago. https://youtu.be/78-Hzi66lyE?si=2uhuvvrTP20ssd-Z Neil I’m not sure that they ‘found’ 18 original movements, Neil. I believe they meticulously copied one of the original movements (perha...

Re: Quite a find for £70!
No wonder it had stopped working. Years spent in stupefying heat, bouncing around on the back of a camel, numerous military battles/skirmishes followed by a fatal motorcycle accident…a pretty good advert for Omega’s early anti-shock features…

Re: Sapphire caseback for my 1970 Speedmaster Mark 2
My Christmas present finally arrived yesterday after being lost in the parcel system since about the 7th of December from Germany. Sapphire caseback for my 1970 Omega Speedmaster Mark 2 Racing Dial ! For this movement in particular I feel a sapphire caseback is nearly essential, you can now savour ...
