I don’t do white straps but you chaps have changed my view now. The wife’s not going to be happy!

Re: You know you’re wearing it...
I did once have the 44 mm C8 Pilot Mark 1, but my biggest one recently has been Poseidon, the 43 mm C 60 GMT. Lovely watch, which I wore on holidays for a couple of years. However, last time I went away (in the dim and distant past, Christmas 2019) the crown made a mess of the back of my hand so I ...

Re: Brands to consider on a £1500 budget
C90 Becketts (White face) on the Forum sales board takes some beating when it comes to value for money. I have no affiliation with the seller but I do think it’s a belter.👍 Also there is a nice Tudor BB41 on the sales forum which is well worth the £1500 being asked for. Again, no affiliation with th...

Re: Quick comparison between two colourways of the C65 Super Compressor :
Nice one Ferg. The deep blue SC is also on my radar as a complementary watch to my black sand, so really good to see them together  I agree about the bracelet... I took mine off the bracelet quite quickly and wear it on either black tropic, brown canvas, a brown/orange nato I had lying around...

Re: The stages of stew
Lobby? Is that because you 'lob' in whatever you can find? No. Apparently the name came from Northern Europe (Norway and Hanseatic Germany) where it was called Lapskaus or Labskaus. Popular with sailors, it was introduced and corrupted to Lobscouse in the Liverpool area, eventually becoming Scouse ...

Re: The stages of stew
Looks delicious, Andrew. Pretty much what I make in the slow cooker. We always called it lobby where I came from, and it tends to be thinner than your stew – more like a soup. Beef stew and dumplings - the perfect comfort food on a cold winter's night. It does look good, Andrew. Being a Londoner it...

Re: February '21 - Strap Sale
Afternoon all. Vallen has confirmed today what has been stated elsewhere...tech glitch but in the 15 minutes that it ran properly they’ll sold all sale stock! Regards. Phil Thanks for the update, but that really doesn't seem feasible. I had an item in my basket, in my account and hitting refresh bu...

Re: Shipping to the USA...advice.
The watch value is considerably more than $800! Don’t know if I can insure it for its full value and declare it as a lower value for the purposes of duty (which may lie with the buyer) and could see me digging an even bigger hole for my self.

Shipping to the USA...advice.
Afternoon all. As I am 14 posts short of being able to post this on the Sales Forum I thought I’d ask for advice on here if that’s acceptable? I am about to sell a watch to a guy who lives over in the USA (East coast) and I’m trawling through the minefield of which currency exchange, shipping compan...
