Re: Watch running slow…question

I thought the movement standard was around 20secs. If it's changing over time though, it might be worth discussing with customer services to see what they think.

Re: Rolex a discussion

The guy who bought the Nautilus won't be able to unwrap it. It's probably a buying and selling watch, not a wearing one.

I was going to post the same article. Very interesting. Maybe except for the inclusion of breitling as one of the main alternatives?

Re: A new survey from CW. This time about the SH21

I didn't return the survey. I don't have a watch with this movement. In any event, I just want a movement to be reliable, accurate, and serviceable. Having an attractively designed movement that can be seen is a great bonus. In fact if it can't be seen it's hard to see the point. If you can't guaran...

Re: F1 2021 Motorsport Thread

It should have been a 3 race ban, not a 3 grid price penalty. Someone will die soon if this isn't stamped out.

Re: Used vs new prices

^^^
Most watches resell for less than the original cost price, so in general the SP is a trade off between the original price, age and condition. This rule of thumb gets distorted by the few brands that show price appreciation, which may or may not represent a temporary bubble.

Re: NPD T4 project

This isn't so much about the design project. It's more general musings about a CW business. (Or a Tribus business, come to that).I think VFM, or whatever 3LA you want to use is such a tricky one. Clearly making and selling watches, and building a substantial profitable business is not easy. Limiting...

Re: The Curmudgeons Corner

We left St Ives at 10:30 yesterday (towing a caravan). It took 2 hours to do twenty miles, and didn't get much better. Delays near the M5 junction, continued delays all the way up to Bristol. We had 300 miles to do, and it took over 7 hours to get half way. We eventually got to the Caravan storage s...

Re: NFL

Buccs for a repeat probably depends on Gronk sticking around. Is he suited this year?

Also may help if Mahomes decides he doesn't have to do it all.

I'm sure I have a few that would meet the criteria. My Versace DV25 must have a good shout.

Re: Pics from the walkers

Last day of our holiday. Wet morning, but cleared up later. Wildlife at South Tihedy, although the squirrels were very friendly, and not wild at all. Later the tide coming in at Mousehole.

Re: Tribus Watches

Tried to watch the video with subtitles, can't find them. #-o Speakers on the blink, nothing to do with the assumed scouse commentary. You should be able to click the video, and a few icons come up top right. CC gives you captions, which are sometimes auto generated, and extremely good. You w...

Re: Tribus Watches

Having said all that I am glad there are a few more British watchmaker on the scene. But they are not a ‘British Watchmaker’ - not one bit of their watches are made or manufactured on British soil. There are a number of companies that want to invest in British manufacturing but Tribus, CW etc.. are...
