Re: Tribus Watches
I wasn't initially very intrigued by their offerings, but this video review of the TRI-01 has piqued my interest: (Note: There does seem to be a discrepancy in the pricing stated in the review and what's on the Tribus site. Interesting to see how they're handling taxes and duty: IMPORT DUTY/TAX - W...

How are you going to check the accuracy of a one handed watch. It's crazy, man.

If Tudor can do a display back, you would think its daddy would.

Re: Brands to consider on a £1500 budget
Personally I would look at Jomashop to get an idea of what could be had for that sort of money. Assuming you are in the UK, budget for 20% VAT, but don't prepay it as occasionally RM miss it, and it's probably cheaper to pay the VAT in the UK anyway. There's a good assortment of the brands you menti...

Re: Oris New Releases - Cotton Candy
I imagine they are looking to appeal to the ladies with these in the slightly smaller size, but maybe not.
Is this unwelcome stereotyping, @missF, or just picking up on a trend?
edit - the pink colour is actually called "lipstick pink". Yummy.

I am not so sure. I would have no issue with the camel strap combination.

Re: Quick comparison between two colourways of the C65 Super Compressor :
The comparison between the 2 colourways, with and without the self coloured bezel is quite striking. On first impressions I think I prefer the contrasting white bezel. The SC is growing on me as I see more and more examples. I do like the way the movement is presented, which reminds of the way Omega...

CW do the black and red hybrid strap that might work well with that.

Re: Watch model identification
Thanks all - getting on well with it having had a new battery fitted. One thing that had confused me was that the second hand was actually for the stopwatch, whilst the little second hand was the normal second hand. Seems to be the opposite to all my other watches! That is standard on pretty well a...

Re: Looking for a small(ish) beater, preferably analog
For a mechanical watch, I would suggest the 40mm Invicta available for sale just above, or for slightly more, perhaps a 41mm seiko from the SNZG line - different numbers for different colours.

Re: Nearly New Items for Sale again (25Mar2021)
Given that if you weren't happy with a NN you would return it anyway, I guess there is no point in CW sending out a NN watch in poor condition. It would just give customers a poor impression. As it is, it creates a very good impression, (and also a bit of a frenzy come sale time)

Re: Fin watch straps to the rescue
I think that strap looks very good. The red stitching picks out the red details on the watch very well. Generally speaking I find CW cordovan straps are always worth considering. I am sure they would look great with your watch. Although certainly not inexpensive they will look pristine for years. Th...

Re: CW Survey
Just to be clear, it wasn't a specific question about the logo. It was a question to do aspects of CW watches, rated 1 to 5, or something like that, one of which was logo if anyone else completes this, perhaps they could note the question. I recall that question. It was buried among a bunch of othe...
