Re: My Dog Sighs has arrived....

Still only 11 sold, im sure someone on here or the fb group said these were going to be hot cakes! I've NEVER seen hot cakes being sold anywhere! Joking aside, that sounds like marketing hype, but I'm sure they will all go eventually. I don't think Chris would have made more than he expected to sell.

Re: The Curmudgeons Corner

After hearing people in Education complaining for months about how futures have been ruined by the pandemic/lockdown forcing schools to close, I was rather surprised to see hundreds of the little dears pouring out of a local school just after ... 2pm! Perhaps they would catch up quicker if they trie...

Re: CW Wooden Boxes

^^^ I generally agree that most (all?) of this eco stuff is either tokenism or marketing hype. But I'm someone who isn't at all excited by the 'unboxing experience', I just don't 'get it' If we really must have fancy packaging - and I don't think we must - Far better surely to be sent out in a watch...

Re: Show your pet!

What a lovely little dog. Good to hear that your story has a happy conclusion. Sadly some rescue societies can be a little prescriptive and set in their ways. I've had many Greyhounds in the past - they are great dogs but can need watching around smaller animals - Now we have a Cockerpoo. I will say...

Re: Minis

My Dad's first 'car' in 1966 was a Mini van with a seat in the back. I 'drove' it round Tatton Park as a child with Dad working the pedals. As a family of four, we all slept in it on a trip to Cornwall once when we couldn't find a B&B on the way down. We had a fortnight's luggage in with us too! As ...

Re: C63 Sealander Collection

That to me looks like a watch that just did it right! Simple, easy to read, hands and indicies are the perfect size, dial not cluttered up with writing or anything unnecessary There was a thread last year about model longevity, and the more I look at the C63 Auto I wonder - "could this be the one t...

Re: C63 Sealander GMT. Colour Visuals

A bit bright for my taste, though I'm sure there is a market out there. I also have no use for a GMT - and they do sell, so what do I know?

Thanks for posting, it's nice to see some alternatives and perhaps some may become reality.

Re: C63 Sealander Collection

^^^^ I don't disagree with what you said, but I think that - in part - this is down to people being more affluent. Not too long ago, people just had less possessions so most people had just one watch for everything, wore their old suits for leisure activities as they didn't have anything else. You'r...

Re: Short notice advice needed

This may be too late but: I've bought a few watches off ebay with no issues. Only once did the watch not arrive (from Russia) - I got my money back with no problems. ebay tends to be on the side of the buyer rather than the seller. Make sure you use PayPal for full cover = if they won't do PayPal, t...

Re: Minis

Congratulations, a very nice looking car. I walked past one of these locally recently and was surprised how large the cars are compared to the original mini (which was my first car). They are 4 feet longer, 2 feet wider and just under a foot taller. I know cars in general are larger but it just sho...

Re: Can I wear my watch while Golfing ?

I drive a Golf. Should I be worried? I just realised I am a Golf driver and that there are drivers in Golf. Help me, help me. Should I wear a watch whilst driving my Golf? You'll be fine as long as your watch is waterproof. The VW Golf name is weather related (along with Passat & Scirocco) and has ...

Re: Sealander Name at 12

So anybody that stated they didn't like the 9o'clock logo are "moaners" If anyone has genuinely not bought a CW solely because of the positioning, the I respect their decision, and opinion. It's their money and they can spend it (or not) how they like. There are however a lot of people, on YouTube ...
