Re: MKIII Bracelet Half-Links Are In!

Mine just showed up. As a side note, I sent a note the other day that I thought I got the wrong links and was told very politely that they were aware that some wrong sized links were sent out and that I had an order for a new set of the right size already taken care of.

Re: Exclusive CW Forum Prototype Sale

I pretty much feel the same way. I see it as a possibility to pick up a one of a kind from a brand I like. If I don't see anything I like or interesting I won't buy anything.

[HIJACK]This caught my eye as well and thought it interesting. A Certina with a #tide NATO. I tried looking around and it doesn't seem to be available anywhere else. Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread

This thing has captured my imagination lately. I think it is the unique dial config that is catching my interest. The bracelet seems to really fit the watch also. https://hodinkee.imgix.net/uploads/images/28d04ef8-ea36-4068-bb3d-208a69cda399/L1280340.jpg?ixlib=rails-1.1.0&fm=jpg&q=55&aut...

Re: My biggest watch is by far my smallest watch

With a 48 MM lug to lug I would think that the Hammerhead would wear much like a Seiko (thinking of the Willard here). The 13 mm thickness helps too. In my experience you can't make a decision on a watch when looking at only 1 dimension. You kind of have to look at all of the dimensional aspects and...

Re: C63 Sealander Collection

I'll throw in a vote for the Tide straps in 22mm. I think they are missing out on an opportunity there! A black with red stripe would look great with my C65 AM GT LE! I just noticed that you can get the C60 Bronze COSC LE on a black with white stripe Tide strap. That watch is 42 mm with 22 mm lugs....

Re: Bulova Lunar Pilot Limited Edition Grade 5 Titanium 50th anniversary of Apollo 15 / Lunar Landing

Since the original video is now private and the watch isn't even on Bulova's website I would say that it might be a case of an accidental trigger pull. I would think it would be released closer to August. We might see it again the closer we get to the 2nd.

Re: MKIII Bracelet Half-Links Are In!

Unfortunately, I think this is true across the board. I had the issue too and solved it by doing the same thing as you. Mine seems very secure too. I only added one half link per bracelet so I had plenty of hardware available. I would like to know what they say though. I hope that it is just a case ...

Re: Pressure Testing

This is the best video I have found that shows all of the different equipment used to pressure test a watch. It is very in-depth but worth the time IMO.

Re: Free limited edition AM GT 1VEV CW watch up for grabs

Don't throw in the towel yet. It hasn't been that long since the surgery. It may feel like you have slid backward for a while but with rest and some rehab work you should see gains over time. The key is to do what the docs/rehab specialists say (to the letter) and keep a keen eye on the future.

Re: The Golf Topic

I just started listening to a really interesting podcast from Ben Clymer from HODINKEE and Adam Scott. In the podcast Scott is preparing for the 2021 Masters. It is a very interesting look at how a tour professional approaches the game and approaches getting ready for a major tournament. The podcast...

Re: Can I wear my watch while Golfing ?

You know how the pros are always looking in the book they carry? That is a yardage book where they have mapped out each hole to the yard and any hazards. They have also mapped every green. They only guess on yardage when they are very far off of the mark. Other than that they know almost exactly how...

Re: US Customs Help

People here in the US aren't used to importing stuff or importing stuff that is subject to duty. I am not sure why it is but most merchants have a presence here and ship from here. It is a little different from the UK because not everything is subject to duty. The government picks and chooses what t...
