Re: C65 GMT Worldtimer
I actually like it. It ticks a lot of boxes I'd be interested in, even though at 41mm I think it's probably too big for me. Clearly they did it to account for all the 'stuff' they had to fit on the bezel. And even the lug-to-lug is good at 47mm. The problem is that to get it that short, they had to ...

Re: How far will watch prices drop?
I haven't seen prices move anywhere as yet. Good indicators are pieces that trade over retail, like the Tudor BB 58. No one has moved on advertised prices that I can find. Ebay prices continue to be astronomically ridiculous, Chrono24 more reasonably so, but still well over retail. I think what you'...

Re: C60 lightweight
Interesting ideas. I'm not really a quartz guy (bar something odd, like a high beat quartz, etc), but it's a thought. I guess I should be more specific: basically, I love the Mk3, and I want the same thing just in a slightly pared down case size. I can find plenty of other things that would suit my ...

C60 lightweight
Am I the only one that would really love a C60 with:
- 200m water resistance
- 10g less weight
- 2mm thinner
I'd gladly trade a couple hundred meters of water resistance that I'll never make use of for something more comfortable to wear. If I were to split hairs I'd also ask for a 39mm case...

Longines Legend Diver (36mm)
So with my dinky wrists, the number of dive watches that are available and that I enjoy wearing are few and far between. When it comes to compressor divers, the list is almost non-existent as all the new re-issues are 42mm+. The exceptions are my DH 1970 (which I still feel is too big, or at least t...

Re: C60 Crown "cracking"
Interestingly, mine stopped doing it after a week or so. As has been mentioned, it's really just stem spring binding a little. I put it in the same bucket as the other minor manufacturing tolerance niggles that, at this price point, are just par for the course: like the 40mm bezel that had some wobb...

Re: Help w/strap selection
Yeah, good examples. It seems it can work... I think I'll have to try a few things out in person.StrappedUp wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2020 3:25 pm Maybe a light shade of brown, bordering beige? CW once sold the strap below, but I can't remember what it was called.
Tudor also supplies there BB36 with a similar colour strap ...

Re: Help w/strap selection
I have no issue getting the watch wet, but I wouldn't be doing it with a leather strap. There's a reason you can change them... I still think the black/brown combo is just off. I think you can get away with the deep chocolate brown strap, but otherwise it feels akin to wearing a brown belt with blac...

Help w/strap selection
So... my preference is for leather straps. I've been wearing my black C60 Mk3 on a black Barton silicone strap, and it's very good, but it's way too casual for what to me looks like a very dress-diver piece. I'd really like a high quality lined leather strap, 20mm taper to 18mm. While I generally pr...

Re: SOTC - heffergm - 6 Marzo 2020
Haha. I could see an Omega, but more likely a 300M diver, and they'd have to make one in a 38mm for me to go there, which I don't see happening. I'm not really a fan of the Submariner-style, and Tudor's don't really float my boat either. I'd probably have bought a Baltic Aquascaphe already if it wer...

Re: SOTC - heffergm - 6 Marzo 2020
That's a nice collection  Funnily enough I've been looking at the Rado CC - I love its vintage style. My local AD has one but it's the 37mm version which is too small for me - not tried the 42mm. Problem I have is, in my mind, the price has put me off (especially in it's price category). Y...

Re: SOTC - heffergm - 6 Marzo 2020
Yeah, I kept the 38mm C60. I just felt like it was easier to wear. I get that people like the look of the 40, but I think on my wrist it's just too much (for me anyway). I've discovered I really value light and comfortable over pretty much all else. The Rado is interesting. I have to get the crown f...

I guess there are some brown tones to it... I think 'wheat gold' would be the best description I could come up with.

SOTC - heffergm - 6 Marzo 2020
Well, here it is, as much as '3' is a collection anyway. The Rado is a recent addition, bought used and only slightly damaged :? (soon to be taken care of). I think I might have room for one more, but that's about it. I have ~6.3cm wrists, 38mm is basically my sweet spot, probably 36mm if I ever bou...
