Re: The Rolex Replacement
Well as usual iain I'm somewhat late to the party but a big ole congrats is in order. When it's right, it's right, and when it's not, well... I don't really have a 'favourite' Seamaster although for sure it is NOT a 300M. This one however is damned fine. Enjoy in good health! A bit big for my scrawn...

I'm quite partial to a small seconds, but keep it simple. Of course most chronographs are 'small seconds'....

Re: 25.1.24 teaser
As someone who's owned the 39mm GMT and the 36mm 3-hander, I also think this will be far too cluttered. They are already good sizes for their respective designs. On the same page. I have the 39mm GMT and even on my 16cm wrist it's the size it's supposed to be and I'm sure the 36mm 3 hander the same...

Re: Non CW of the Day
Never imagined the day this watch would be in this thread. The 5600 is I guess some sort of icon but I've worn it rarely as I didn't enjoy that resin strap at all. Just tried this weatherproof leather from Vario and Gosh! it's all the difference. Onto the work watch roster it goes. Suitably quite th...

Re: From your largest to your smallest....
My largest is the Longines Big Eye, 41mm and 14.5mm thick. The smallest is the Stowa Antea Bauhaus LE at 35.5mm and 6.9mm thick. I pick them for entirely different reasons, although so far never sequentially on the same day. The size suits each watch for what it is, so I think it is more about being...

Re: See the LIGHT
Who'd have thought? A Schofield watch I could actually wear.
Not really had anything I could consider previously, but I'm intrigued/fascinated by this one.
Good heads-up Guy!

@nbg
Apparently this is 'retro-futuristic'. Whatever that is, I like its curvaceous style.

Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread
This new Direnzo DRZ-06 "Wandering Star' goes on pre-sale in a few weeks. 38mm but the case shape and virtual-integrated bracelet will make it wear like a 40 I think. Hand wound SW216-1. Very tempted by this one, I have one of Sergio's DRZ-03's and enjoy it very much. Interesting looking piece ...

Re: Connected…or not?
I think I fall firmly in the 'something of a luddite' category. The so-called 'smart watch' is of course not a watch at all. It happens to tell the time amongst many other functions, but then the desktop computer at which I currently sit also tells the time. I don't want/need it to, but it does. My ...

Re: Venezianico
Haven't been to Venice since the 80's....don't suppose it's changed all that much, even if James Bond apparently wrecked part of it a few years ago.
As for the watches, the Redentore with the 'Clous de Paris' dial centres are attractive pieces for sure.

Re: Strap of the Day
^^^^ ordered that strap today.
It will put a watch that's been very occasional 'rough stuff only' into the work rotation where it belongs.
A good inspiration, Lindsey
