Re: Watches and politics

"What does your watch say about you?" is where I would have to come down since I have no interest in politics anyway. Half or so of my collection is geared towards working in an environment where I wear Hi-Viz clothing and steel-capped boots so a reasonably rugged and practical watch with decent WR ...

Re: C63 Sealander Elite

The Elite is on my wish list. I’m a bit far from ready, yet, to order. Same here. Spent a chunk just recently on a couple of Heavy Hitters. Thought I was done for a bit and now this from CW... The good news about the "not ready for a bit" is there is time for CW to release a couple of new colour wa...

Re: C63 GMT Black dial vs White dial.

It's an absolute Goldilocks this one. That slim steel bezel makes it look larger on-wrist than the 40mm Tissot, to my eyes anyway.
You are not helping me with my conundrum: white or black or maybe Elite. 3 cracking good models from CW.
Enjoy!!

Perhaps the most unusual and certainly interesting "forms of grail" I've seen.
Absolutely AWESOME.

Re: What’s better than a chronomat? A SUPER chronomat

You'd have to be the right sort of person to pull this one off. That wouldn't be me.
Gotta love the madness of it though, especially with the dual time dial. Overkill? Cool? Pick one per your taste.
Not for me but thumbs up to whoever said yeah let's build it.

Re: C63 GMT Black dial vs White dial.

I can't remember a watch release where black vs white was such a vexed question. And I'm of the same mind. The similarity of the black with the GS SBGN003 is one I picked up on straight away. That is a beautiful piece and I was very close to pulling the trigger on one myself. I took a left turn when...

Frederique Constant 40Hz movement

Found on Monochrome Watches channel. Anyone seen this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBjtEoHnV70 A new manufacture movement with 40Hz beat rate, yes 80 ticks per second. Rather smooth second hand sweep then :) Rather cool development and 80 hour power reserve. Not keen personally on Open Hearts bu...

Picking out the splinters of my fence-sitting...
If it works it works, if it doesn't, moving right along. I think it's all in how the space is used. Quite like a good old-fashioned number.

Re: The watch weigh-in

My work watch today was the Phoibos, a 300m NH35 diver. The numbers that matter - 41/47/13.5mm and 99g on a tropical rubber strap. It's a relatively thick watch head with a lighter strap. I have some awareness it is on my skinny wrist but not much. After work, the Formex Essence. The numbers - 39/45...

My personal idea of Artistic Adventure is my car in Turmeric Yellow :)
So this one not in my wheelhouse.
That said: I have to applaud the original artistry, the conviction to produce it, and the embrace of it all.

100% and it's part of The Game. Almost anybody who has been down the road a few times knows the experience. You are right about the Tudor Chrono - for you. And someone else who responds quite differently to it isn't wrong either. Nothing beats "in the metal" and what works for you or otherwise. Pics...

Re: Noush - May 2021

Thank you all for the positive and supportive comments. To address some of these: "Challenge" accepted, Steve. This was a quickie to see what the collection looked like with the Big Eye in place. Chuffed with what I saw. The Phoibos is a really we'll-made watch for its price. Welcome splash of colou...

Re: nbg - May 2021 - a selection of #GODO

A fine sub-collection no doubt Neil, practical, interesting and well-considered. I do understand how and why the line is drawn here, but personally if James Bond can swing a Sub/PO/300m in a tux at a casino....that's a GODO :) If I had to pick then the Explorer II. But then I have my eye on the C63 ...
