Re: Non CW of the Day

Having seen Paul’s Vanguard strap on his BB58, a quick pm to him, I decided to be a copycat and a very happy cat I am :D https://i.ibb.co/1vyJG8k/6-A7308-EA-6-A6-E-4282-89-E5-AE7689581-A4-C.jpg Must be close to a "must have" with this watch. Will have to join the Vanguard Club myself I think. Looks...

Re: The Perfect Size - FOR YOU?

For me it is a 39mm, 47 L2L and <12mm thick that wears best and with enough presence on-(skinny, 6.25") wrist. For me this morning the BB58 Blue and what do you know? :) Crazy for this one. I have plenty of 40s, even a couple of 41s, and they work just fine but the Goldilocks is 39mm for me. Skinny ...

Re: “Collections within Collections”

Edit : I truly hope I never get forced in that direction! I also truly hope that is never the case for either of us! While I'm here: Now Neil, you are saying that Moser had been flipped at least 3 times? Still getting my head around that. Their loss, your gain I guess. Pure Class. Enjoy in ru...

Re: Noush - May 2021

Does look good Guy although it only houses 8 watches :) Definitely worth considering just the same. Hadn't even thought to look there. Can you tell me though : do you think the cushions squish up enough to close up a bracelet or deployment set to a 6.25" wrist? This is a real issue with what I have ...

Re: Noush - May 2021

I am going to get a decent box to replace the "Ebay special" currently in use.... For a little while I want to let it be and just enjoy the good place I feel it is in. I'm not a flipper by nature, each watch has been part of the journey and is still very much enjoyed. I have a good thing going where...

Re: “Collections within Collections”

For me I collected watches of all sorts (and variety is the cornerstone of life in general for me) until I got to understand what I enjoyed the most about the watches I'd chosen. And per my SOTC, I have a sub-collection of three I guess bigger investments that reflect what I now understand as my kin...

Re: Watches and politics

^^ ^^
I guess I should define my concept of "extravagance", Des.
For me it's the "just because you can" thing. If a PP perpetual calendar is something special to you, go right ahead, and you'll get no negative vibe from me. If you're just showing off then there is a frown coming your way.... :)

Re: Watches and politics

"What does your watch say about you?" is where I would have to come down since I have no interest in politics anyway. Half or so of my collection is geared towards working in an environment where I wear Hi-Viz clothing and steel-capped boots so a reasonably rugged and practical watch with decent WR ...

Re: C63 Sealander Elite

The Elite is on my wish list. I’m a bit far from ready, yet, to order. Same here. Spent a chunk just recently on a couple of Heavy Hitters. Thought I was done for a bit and now this from CW... The good news about the "not ready for a bit" is there is time for CW to release a couple of new colour wa...

Re: C63 GMT Black dial vs White dial.

It's an absolute Goldilocks this one. That slim steel bezel makes it look larger on-wrist than the 40mm Tissot, to my eyes anyway.
You are not helping me with my conundrum: white or black or maybe Elite. 3 cracking good models from CW.
Enjoy!!

Re: What’s better than a chronomat? A SUPER chronomat

You'd have to be the right sort of person to pull this one off. That wouldn't be me.
Gotta love the madness of it though, especially with the dual time dial. Overkill? Cool? Pick one per your taste.
Not for me but thumbs up to whoever said yeah let's build it.
