Re: JLC - NUTS in a good way
Making me look again at the Reverso in the sales corner as I have always wanted one. I know it's too dressy for most occasions. But, as goofy as it sounds, to be able to feel a small kinship with this maker, it might get worn more than you think. Just had a fairly large outlay on my new Omega AT, so...

Re: Brands to consider on a £1500 budget
With CW being an obvious value choice let me throw this one in. Straddles the line between dress and sport, great all around piece. I have NO affiliation with the seller.

Re: Steel and gold explorer
It's my understanding according to Jennie Elle, they have dropped the 39mm steel Explorer, only 36 available????. Makes no sense. I always thought I would own one at some point, but 36mm on my 8" or 21mm wrist is pretty small. I don't know....does smaller, more compact, make a better tool?

Re: Steel and gold explorer
You know the saying, if you can't say something nice...I know Rolex has glamed up nearly every other watch in their catalog, but an Explorer? The only true tool left has no place at this table IMO.

Re: Looking for a small(ish) beater, preferably analog
I bought this Seiko 5 for the express purpose of having a beater work watch to check out the almost legendary toughness and value I had read about for years. From running a chainsaw to repairing all manner of modern farming equipment, I purposely show it no mercy. With lume rivaling others costing 1...

Like that a lot. Fume dial and allen head screws really set it off nicely. Crown protectors would have gone nicely with the industrial look. Screw down crown?

Have a great day. I know nothing of soccer, but do sadly, know something about disappointing athletic performances. LOL

Re: The Lume Shot of the Day
For the last night of my work week.
I had this timed at my local Omega AD, for a small fee a few months ago. The watchmaker, who is authorized by both Omega and Rolex, had not heard of the brand and commented about what a nice piece it was as well as the lume. Win and win for CW!- Tue Apr 06, 2021 9:00 am

Re: White is the new black
Excuse the old pic, but this white is the whitest white, and THE biggest reason for choosing the Datejust over the OP. Never really had a problem seeing the hands.
Does the cream colored panda qualify?
