Re: Coming: the ultimate C60 Trident Pro 300

I'm more and more convinced that the Trident Pro 600 (and the Elite 1000) are going away....
This one looks like Titanium, likely COSC and with redesigned dial and hands (This could be interesting).... Don't know what to make of the "case finishing never before seen" bit.

I'd likely buy it. Definitely, if they make it in 39mm.

Re: 25.1.24 teaser

I wonder if they will release 2 separate watches? 1 X Diver (300 cosc, applied logo. I'm fantasising now) 1 X GMT (New GMT, flyer vs the current caller) Hmmmmm, IMO unlikely. A facelift of the Pro300 diver would have another (or its own) teaser and not the one we have seen... I think that a "f...

Re: 25.1.24 teaser

I'm pretty sure it is a GMT Pro300. Now the question remains: will it be GMT watch or a Diver watch ? (It's all about the bezel)

Re: 25.1.24 teaser

I think this last teaser seals it. It's a Trident Pro 300 GMT. Regarding the T4 I think it would be a much more bombastic announcement. And to be frank, given the success of the Pro 300, I don't think they are in any hurry to relaunch a Pro 600. If it were me, I would fuse the Pro 600 and the Elite ...

Re: Any known plans for a "true" GMT ?

I was pointing out that CW's GMTs did not use SW200. They used to use ETA 2893 GMTs until ETA was no longer available, then continued with the Sellita equivalent (SW300). Indeed, the ETA2893/Sellita SW330 are native "caller" GMT movements. Simple drop-in solutions that have been used for ...

Re: Any known plans for a "true" GMT ?

Henryj That's a very good point. Actually, it would be very useful to have a branch of three-handers with the jumping hour functionality as standard. I have a Seamaster 300 that does exactly that. Useful for daylight savings changes and also as a traveller's watch. Not everyone needs to read severa...

Re: Any known plans for a "true" GMT ?

In any case, I have found the Treveller GMT functionality rather convenient when you have long trips with connections in intermediate time zones. It is good to be able to quickly reset the local time to make sure you're in time to board your next flight. I'm thinking something like Amsterdam-Kuala L...

Re: Any known plans for a "true" GMT ?

Is not really about the need… As soon as I change country my phone gives me local and home time simultaneously without doing anything on my part. It’s about desirability and convenience. Resetting a 1675 is pretty much like resetting any non-GMT watch, as the hour hands are permanently locked to eac...

Any known plans for a "true" GMT ?

I keep wondering... With everyone and their grandmother offering “traveller/true” GMTs these days…. Are there any rumors about CW considering the idea of moving past the ubiquitous SW330 ? Sellia are not doing it, but CW have done mods on the basic SW200 before. The Bel Canto being a notorious and r...

Re: Hand winding ETA/Sellita

I think it is a good movement. Reasonably accurate, easy to regulate, very dependable. But PR is a bit low for today's standards, and some can develop that issue with the reversing wheels. The way CW has refined and evolved every other aspect of their watches I would love to see them upgrade to the ...

Re: Trident Pro 300 Preview

. . . . some further differentiation between the Pro300 and Pro600 lines or one will likely become redundant... CW has been keen to point out, both in the Forum Preview and Loupe, that Pro 300 is an addition to Pro 600 with both versions running together; rather like Omega have the Seamaster Profes...

Re: Trident Pro 300 Preview

Was there any discussion on how Different T4 will be to 3.1? A face lift on a car is usually mid life and lasts a year or so before a full model refresh is launched - enough to make it worth buying. However the T3.1 face lift seems to be only a few months ahead of a full model refresh and makes me ...

Re: Trident Pro 300 Preview

So, will the swish-only dials and updated bracelets be eventually carried over to the existing Pro 600 in the near future ?

Will they not look pretty much identical then ?
