Re: Partial refund for slightly scratched watch

That's not what the 60 day return policy is for. I'd be surprised if they take it back, but if they do I'd expect you'll take a real hit on it

Re: New 39mm Tudor Ranger…..

It just looks like they're trying to get sales from people that would still like to buy a new 39mm Explorer from an AD. I see it more as following what they did with the black bay producing the 58 after many found it too large and slabby. Same could have been said about the old 41mm ranger. Great w...

Was slightly tempted by a white something that is 39mm. Then I thought I could keep the money and pick up a perfect draft pro instead 🤔

Re: New watch shortlists

I've just had a look at my list and it's quite ridiculous. 12 watches, varying in prices from <£100 to £60k+(I actually don't know what a couple of them would cost me). I've no intention of buying any of them unless I have a seismic change of finances but I want them all the same and each and every ...

Re: After Just Over 2 Years Wait It's Arrived

What a great watch. It is very interesting to me that this is the second surprise call from an AD to a forum member about a Rolex this week? Especially as I also got a call on Saturday and finally managed to get my hands on an Explorer after two years of trying. Its probably a coincidence but it do...

Re: Mark on inside of glass - update - HELP

Incidentally, if it does turn out that it was damaged due to scuffing it against a door frame - which is what they are suggesting - can AR coatings come off that easily? If that is the case I’m completely shocked and would rather stick with my £1000 Hamilton which has lasted 11 years of hard use wi...

Re: Mark on inside of glass - update - HELP

If AR coating has came off the inside of the crystal then it surely can't be the fault of the user. If this is the case though, would there not be particles of it visible on the dial? If it's an AR issue then it's certainly more likely to be tuned off from the outside, in which case you'll never win...

Re: Large scale 4-day work week trial in the UK

A 4 day week is pretty common in the railway. Management tried to push it on us a few years ago but we thankfully voted against it. As it is, we work a 24 week rota with 9 days off every 6th week. This is much more useful to me.

Re: Date / no date?

I only have one watch without a date and it frustrates me enormously when I glance at it for the date and realise it's not there. That frustration lasts for around a tenth of a second and a smile comes to my face as my Explorer is looking back at me. I've a Hamilton khaki field day/date and it's a b...

Re: CW has quietly changed the warranty for the better

It's a real shame they pretended for a couple of years to still have 60/60 when they never.

It's the correct decision for them to back peddle and put it back in place. Maybe they could market it as "Actual 60/60 guarantee" now?

I can consider buying another one in the future now.
