A worthy project indeed Andrew, great idea, straight out of the Golden Age!

Re: What’s your favourite C60 generation

I own a 43mm Mk2 white/red bezel which is a keeper even though for me dive watches are for diving so that for daily wear I much prefer classic/elegant/complications. Whilst I do appreciate the refinements of the Mk3: lumed bezel, sculptured case, I am not so keen on the more generic hands (though we...

Re: Straps & Milanese

I too do not like the lack of branding on the Bader or Milanese, CW are missing a trick here. But CW have always had a problem with coherent branding and are still wrestling with it. Branding aside, the straps (with Bader clasp) and the Milanese are both excellent. For sure the Milanese is sourced f...

Re: Watchfinder Experiences

Quick update on this, the Breitling that I sold to WF for £2500 appears to now be for sale @ £3650. That sounds pretty reasonable ≈ 50% markup which I guess is now possible for an online business with reach. A guy in the retail trade once told me that in general, a straight SH watch deal will price...

Re: are the c 60 trident gmt out of stock?

^^^ Spot on, but I will emphasise that anything desirable disappears like a shot. Hesitate for a second and "It's gone!" With that in mind, you may want to think about just buying what you want as it suits you since there is no guarantee any particular model will even be in an upcoming sal...

Re: Found my grail but what do you make of this?

1. Only the grail will completely satisfy, everything else is an also ran. 2. Having said that, a GS Spring Drive is really something (I have an SBGA099). Understated, discrete, a technical tour de force and a joy to wear. I disagree that it compares with anything else in any collection because it l...

Re: Is this a scratch on the crystal or the AR coating of my C63?

I would ask CW if they could return the old crystal so you can check again. I just can't believe you managed to scratch a sapphire crystal. The watchfinder guy has a video where he tries to scratch a crystal with a sharp knife, and completely fails. Probably a chip rather than a scratch, in the rig...

Re: JJ04 Complication question

I feel same the way the C1 Grand Malvern is my preferred as well. The C9 was thicker and not quite as versatile I thought with the roman numerals. I couldn't warm to the moonglow either just feels like it's losing the dress feel now don't much care for the pointer either. Oddly I seem to like the n...

Re: C63 Sealander Elite - Worn and Wound

I’ve had mine for a couple of weeks now…no problems with the crown at all. Perhaps, as suggested, it was a much hammered pre-production issue that has been ironed out. Very pleased with the watch on Ti bracelet and orange/black hybrid which is, as I was told by the chaps on here, much improved over...

Unfortunately she is now gone into heaven. :( She died pretty much right after I took the photo, literally in my arms…
