Re: A celebration of colour

CW did a bit of colour in the early days and this was mine. That said the Sector C80 was not about the colour but the historical connection with the RAF Ops Rooms during WWII. https://i.imgur.com/1ZqTTlx.jpg scooter I appreciate the discussion of color as a celebratory thing and can appreciate the ...

Re: MBII Savanna

They lost me with “tactical” coating. That word is so used and abused in the marketing of products over here that it’s become a buzzword for “cheap crap marketed to the ‘special operator’ wannabe.”

That being said, it is an intriguing watch. With all the light coloring, I wonder about readability.

Re: MKIII Bracelet Half-Links Are In!

Just got notice the half links have shipped. There was no charge. Now to see how long they take to get here. Be interested to know if you have the same problem that I have: the pin and collars of the half links are smaller than the bracelet’s. The bracelet’s pins and collars won’t fit into the half...

A black with red stripe would look great with my C65 AM GT LE!

Oh, wait, that’s censered!
Haha! I love that. It brings back memories of Holy Days of Obligation as a kid. “Why are we going to Church? It’s not Sunday!!”

Re: Show us your socks or fancy shirts!

I might have to buy these for school in the fall. I’ve censored them since this is a family friendly forum. We had a couple of acronyms for use during meetings. It was quite common to hear people mutter “This is a CLOB / FWOT” CLOB = Complete Load of B****cks FWOT = **** Waste of Time We don’t thin...

Re: Caliber nerds! A peek inside and discussion around

Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed that quite a bit. It’s the first time I’ve seen a review of just a movement as opposed to the watch it’s in.

Here’s an embedded video for those not wanting to leave the forum to watch….

Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread

This is a watch that could weaken my resistance. The lume is gorgious! Even more illuminating is the inner bezel, that should move as well with the hour hand, but keep slowly behind as it turns once in 24 hours while the hour hand runs twice. And - it has to be set to be in tune with the time zone ...

Re: MKIII Bracelet Half-Links Are In!

I was prepared to pay. Same here. I was actually a bit surprised to hear they were sending them out for free. And I don’t think it’s unreasonable for CW to charge, given the number of requests that they are likely to receive. Exactly why I was/am prepared to pay. The interesting bit is that I’m not...

And I like being the go-to person for my friends and family for battery changes. I enjoy going to the local bookstore and picking up the latest Watch Aficionado magazine and seeing what the biggies have in store for the watch world. I focus on new technical advancements and cool complications. Mayb...

Interesting. The reply email I received when I first inquired was just vague enough in its wording that I wondered if there was going to be a charge. I’ll post again when I hear back.
