Re: Happy birthday jkbarnes!

Happy belated Birthday!  Thank you, sir! ...PS A nice meal and a couple of drinks would definitely be preferable to 10 kids at a trampoline park which is where my Sat was spent. Haha! We've all been there! I've done my time with the "kids' parties as major events;" even h...

Re: Watch sizes are getting smaller....

That was fascinating! I’d love to get a micro Sub. I wonder if I need to buy a few lesser model micro watches before I’d be considered for a Sub?

Thanks, Guy, I appreciate the link. I’m pleased with myself for guessing correctly about the indices.

Re: One way to lose a watch but gain so much more

I expected to read a post about literally losing a watch! I’m glad I was wrong.

You haven’t “lost” a watch so much as transferred possession. That really is a lovely watch. What an amazing dial.

That’s a pretty amazing collection. I wouldn’t even know where to start in praising your pieces. Thanks for sharing!

Both are blue.

I completely forgot about those. I think they didn’t register with me because they’re not your “basic dial” kind of watch, if that makes any sense.

Hope you had a wonderful birthday!
For what it’s worth, my parents very much recommended that movie. They mentioned it to me just last week, in fact.

That’s a beautiful watch. Alex’s comments analogy to eggs Benedict is spot on! I enjoyed reading the thought process behind the watch. Thanks for sharing that.

(What) Kind of Blue?

Please forgive the cheesy Miles Davis reference in the thread title. By my count (and to my aging eyes) CW now offers six different shades of blues: C60 Trident blue C65 Dartmouth blue C65 Trident Vintage blue 2 C65 Super Compressor blues and now C63 Sealander blue Have I missed any? Could anyone wh...

This is my favorite shade of blue CW produces. I’d love to see side-by-side of this and the new blue Sealander.

While I’d have preferred a different outcome, one can’t dispute that that was an exciting ending to watch!

Re: #tide strap comfort

if it’s made of plastic do you think it would be possible to shorten the strap then melt the end like you would a NATO? It might be worth a call to CS to see if they can offer some insight. Best case scenario they give you definitive information either way. Worst case they say they simply don’t know.
