Re: FLE #7 Final Drawings

Wow. A couple weeks out of town and a lot has happened!!! That is a fine looking time piece.

I'm going to be out of range of the internet (in the Alaskan wilderness) for the next 2 weeks. Am I going to miss out on this, or can I still order when I get home on May 29?

Re: FLE #7 Discussion Area

I just hope I don't miss out during my 3 week vacation in Alaska next month. Not sure I'll have cell service or any kind of internet connectivity. :? At least I should get some good action shots of the Trident being put through its paces. I think it will be months before anyone will be asked to for...

Re: New Regulator....

I hadn't looked so far as to see they had upgraded to DLC. That is much harder and an excellent choice. Can definitely take a few good scrapes before you hurt the finish. Now you've got me looking at the UTC. Like I need to be lusting after another CWL right now.

Re: Canvas :)

Very nice. Great combo!!! I've never been much for a canvas strap, but that's really sharp.

Re: New Regulator....

Definitely wear it. Be comewhat careful. But on a watch like that, scratches are earned. The coating they put on there is not as scratch resistant as other watches I've owned. So it does happen. My C8 Flyer received some unexpected damage on day 3. You just have to grin and bear it. I don't like scr...

I just ordered a black ray strap for my Trident. It really makes for a nice strap. I'll be sure to post pics of mine when it is made/delivered. Ant wait to see how yours comes out!

Re: Something I don't understand...

Yet collectors go beyond the basics and contemplate using winders.... Do. Not. Understand. Winders. Like, I have the time to choose which watch I'll wear today, but no time to wind and set it? I get that. But with really complicated watches, or watches with one finicky complication like a moon phas...

I got black on black, but I keep looking back at that red. It's really nice.

A device that keeps an automatic watch wound and running when it's not being worn.
Yup. Check out the ones in the accessories section of the CWL site for some examples.

Re: FLE #7 Discussion Area

I completely agree that everyone who is serious about buying should get in there and vote. I know I did. I am also in the group who would consider more than five of those options as acceptable. I've voted based on my favorites, but any of the top 3, of which I voted for and prefer one, I would likel...

Re: FLE #7 Discussion Area

I had an instant want to hate the Trident PROFiLE v1. But I have grown to like it more and more I spite of myself. I think we're going to see some great options at the end here. Once there are final renderings and prices, I'd be surprised if some that were hanging back didn't want to jump on.

Re: The C65 Vintage is calling to me.

The sensible decision is to buy a watch that's specifically designed for use in water, whatever the conditions and obviously the Trident C60 fits that description. Given that my water related activities will exclude diving, I have to ask does it make sense to buy the 600 series or the 300 series th...
