Re: Scuffed hands

Thanks for all of your opinions. The pictures were taken with my phone's camera zoom. I do notice it with my naked eye at certain angles. Obviously now that I know it's there, it becomes hard to unsee. I get that it's a tolerance issue so maybe I'm just venting out of frustration. I do see it as a Q...

Scuffed hands

Hello, I purchased a C65 LE SH21 from eBay that came with all papers (except COSC certificate) and noticed there was lint so I sent it back and CW removed it under warranty. However, I just now noticed that the hour hand has scuffs/scratches on it: 20210602_020838.jpg 20210602_020912.jpeg 20210602_0...

Re: Broken watch sent back to CW but.....

I think it should be fine. I sent back two watches to CW - one for time regulation and most recently, for a piece of lint/dust underneath the crystal. The first time I sent it was the watch head only and I did not have to pay any customs (it was marked as such when it returned back to me.) This seco...

Re: SH21 Serial Number and COSC mismatch

.... I am in full and complete communication with the original buyer (with his name, order number, etc.) and even had him communicate with CW. I get their response with me, fine - but if their original buyer is asserting that he never received it, then it seems a bit troubling that they refused to ...

Re: SH21 Serial Number and COSC mismatch

Thanks all. I will try asking to see if they can issue a duplicate. The original owner got back to me and told me that CW basically told him he is out of luck because he did not raise the issue in time (he purchased the watch 6 months ago.) In the end, he provided a small discount, so that issue is ...

Re: SH21 Serial Number and COSC mismatch

Not sure if anyone here is able to help - I purchased a secondhand C65 SH21 on eBay and the original buyer asserts that he never received the original COSC certificate. Both us contacted CW, who stated they cannot provide the certificate. This seems a stark contrast to the OP's scenario and so I am...

Re: Speck of dust on underside of crystal...?

I can relate: I had an automatic dress watch that I wore for a few weeks and then a speck appeared out of nowhere, right in the middle of the dial/crystal. I was a bit annoyed so I knocked it around (thinking I could lodge it into an area where it was inconspicuous.) It eventually settled near the 6...

Re: Apex Family Picture

I looked too. :) I can’t provide the photo asked for, but I’ve just taken a quick SH21 group photo. Hey Clach, I contacted you awhile back about that red/black dial C60. For some reason, I thought you had sold it? Thought I read that somewhere. But looks good! That is one awesome collection.

Re: Custom Duties on CW purchase

My experience has been that since switching to DHL, I have had to pay customs fees on watches over $800. You can typically get the bond fee/storage fee waived though if you just contact DHL. However, I agree with all posters that royal mail to USPS was the least hassle compared to DHL. Even accounti...
