Re: I think I'm DONE with Sellita movements

Coming back to the original issue, the crowns on my CWs have always wound in very nicely. I had a slightly gritty Seiko turtle, popped a tiny amount of WD40 on the crown thread and it's perfect.

Re: Lost in the Shadow of the Sale?

Apparently the seller wanted it for his wedding, but now doesn't. So someone who would have loved this watch now has to pay over odds because of some scalper. If the guy doesn't want it, he should send it back to CW for a refund.

Better still, CW should stop doing ludicrous low number LEs.

Re: C60 Concept

I love the way they still charge £10 for a bracelet resize when buying a watch for £3,725 (less voucher of course).

Unfortunately that £10 has just tipped it over the edge into the "can't afford" territory for me.

Re: C63 Sealander Collection

I think they all look fantastic - not sure whether this means the end of the C65 range as aside from a rotatable bezel, these seem preferable to me.

Re: New limited edition releases

^^^^^ I think it may have sold out now - i can't see it on the website. CW should have had all this covered from day 1, saying that 1VEV get either XX or XX movement, with 2VEV having either XX or XX and noting on the manual which movement exactly which one your watch has. Also, play it safe on the ...

Re: New limited edition releases

My 2VEV is consistently running at +0.1 secs/day. Which is pretty good, but obviously not near the stated tolerance of +/- 15 secs / year. A little disappointed that it isn't within spec, but I still love it. Does anyone now if these movements are in any way possible to regulate, i.e. if in a few ye...

Re: CW stopping quartz watch development

I am looking for a good chronograph, but the mechanical ones tend to be too heavy or too thick in the case. This is where quartz wins out. Add to that too expensive, and it’s exactly where I was on chronographs. That’s why I went with the HAQ - it’s affordable, not too thick, and offers impressive ...

Re: New limited edition releases

I can't see either version on the website now Crikey, just over a week to sell out then ? I wonder if this shows that perhaps it's too soon to scrap quartz - or (more likely) the fact that they were limited edition and supposedly the last quartz models (again..) to ever be released, made people jum...

Re: My Solution to the AM GT, 1 VEV, 2 VEV Conundrum

Personally I think it a shame that CW are (apparently) pulling away from quartz. There is a lot to be said for a quartz chrono especially if it has a top end high accuracy movement. CW have made some excellent quartz chronos over past years, plus you get better functionality than you would with a me...

Re: New limited edition releases

I love the movement, I had the same in an old C7 IRR I used to have. However I note that the user manual neglects to detail how the movement can be used for recording split times. It describes the basic stop / start chrono functionality only. Seems a strange omission for a "racing" chrono...

I received my 2VEV today, have sized the bracelet, and am generally delighted. I love the movement, I had the same in an old C7 IRR I used to have.
