Re: C65 AM GT Limited Edition
How does the chronograph work? The description says ‘small seconds’ - so the 6 o clock dial is seconds not chronograph minutes (?) but there’s a white and a red second hand so are they two separate chronograph hands, and if so how do they work? Sorry it’s late and I’m being thick and I can’t work i...

Re: C65 GMT Worldtimer
I almost like it a lot, but like other CW watches I dislike the big GMT hand and non-independent hour hand. I know it is easy to be an armchair critic but I associate the color yellow with the sun or daytime so it this looks backwards to me.
I like the bezel and overall vibe.

Re: Accuracy of your Quartz Chronometer?
Yes, there is a tiny bit of lume on both hands of C7. The narrow cut down the center of the hand is filled with lume. It is quite weak but it sort of works in that after leaving a brightly lit room and the eyes are given a few minutes to adjust to dim light it becomes visible. Though I think its mai...

Re: Help w/strap selection
I have no issue getting the watch wet, but I wouldn't be doing it with a leather strap. There's a reason you can change them... I still think the black/brown combo is just off. I think you can get away with the deep chocolate brown strap, but otherwise it feels akin to wearing a brown belt with bla...

Re: A Lasting Legacy - Important News from Christopher Ward
I wish Chris & Wera all the best and for the company/brand to enjoy continued success. I have enough watches but occasionally will purchase another.
I like the accidental/incidental/imagined-by-me symbolism of the brand, it is much better than misplacing my watch and asking where is my MF watch.

Re: Help w/strap selection
I think wearing a brown strap/black watch is all about having some contrast, which can look good if tastefully done. Providing some "color" that is relatively neutral and natural compared to the almost monochromatic or sterile look of a black dial + black leather or black dial + steel brac...

Re: Accuracy of your Quartz Chronometer?
I think my GS was produced in 2003. It has the 8J movement instead of the 9F so I am not sure it can be adjusted, but perhaps I should ask Seiko about that, since I like wearing the watch due to the slender size. I have read that quartz movements can age and change....though I am not exactly sure ho...

Re: Accuracy of your Quartz Chronometer?
One more long term update. About a week ago I did a time check with the "WatchCheck" app. Both CW watches are still running on their original batteries while the Grand Seiko is now running in low battery mode, so it will get reset soon. I wish I would have started tracking all my watches f...

Re: Logo at 9 o'clock poll
I am mostly ambivalent about the logo at 9 o'clock. It is more about the overall watch than the specific logo placement or branding. That said I can't help but blame Mr. Ward's parents for naming their son Christopher. :-) Of course I am joking or attempting to be lighthearted in saying that, but th...

Re: A Trio of Rapides
Thanks for the comparison pictures. Your C7 Hornet looks great.
I always liked the bold arabic numerals and case design of the C7 Rapide but could not deal with the splash of color on the chapter ring. Both limited editions are bold but nicely done.

Re: Accuracy of your Quartz Chronometer?
Thanks @hughesyn for your comments. I must be the one who is conflating COSC with +/- 10spy. My C7 came with a COSC certificate noting the time deltas in various positions (as if it were a mechanical movement) and it was advertised on the website as having an accuracy of +/- 10spy, so those two attr...

Re: Accuracy of your Quartz Chronometer?
A quick update (this will be the last one until years from now, and only then if the trend changes, as to not bore people). After 5 months and wearing all 3 watches to various degrees, WatchCheck has recorded: 1) C3 mkII chronograph --> -0.3 seconds deviation. So on pace for recording less than 1 se...

Re: How is CW doing? A personal view.
An excellent collection and thanks for posting them. It helps brings home my own personal taste in watches, in that if you had asked me 5-10 years ago which of these four models that I liked best it would have been the Omega Speedmaster and CW GMT diver without question. Ask me today and it would be...

Re: C7 Rapide discontinued?
Looks like the links in that email from a week ago are broken and I could not find these watches on the website. I have a mk2 C7 LE quartz chronograph and like it a lot. I disagree with the gimmicky comment in general. But I do agree in that the mk3 LE looks a bit gimmicky or appealing only to a you...

Re: My first CW of a 3 watch collection
How about adding another C3 but this time a Mkii or a Mkiii in a different color (colour)? Or even a C5. I have a C3 (and C5) Mkii and have always wanted to find a mki to complement it. But then again I am big fan of the 39mm case size finding it is easy to wear.
