Re: C40 speedhawk recent service. Not happy.

I'm not saying that CW is pricey or not but a lack of transparency and a failure to set expectations is the main issue here. Easily fixed, so why don't they?

Newmark 71. Hands down the best lume of any watch in my collection, including GS.

Re: C63 Elite - innovation or gimmick?

Adding a feature for the sake of adding a feature IMO. Crown too big? Move it to 2 or 4. 'Problem' solved.

Re: You know you’re wearing it...

My Bremont 247 chrono, 43mm case width but 18mm tall. That's not slipping sveltely under a cuff anytime soon (not my pic). I thought my Trident Chrono was big...

Re: Record Player recommendations & questions

The Schiit range of phono pre-amps are well regarded. https://www.schiit.com/products/mani Watch the Cambridge Audio refurb eBay page - they had some phono amps listed yesterday but are now sold out. They replenish a couple of times a week and you can get 33% off RRP. https://www.ebay.com/sch/cambri...

Re: Where’s CW on your ladder?

Current range? The ladder isn't even in my garage since there is literally nothing that is of any interest to me and I've moved on. 'Classic' lineup? It's a 3 way dead heat between CW, Seiko and Bremont in numeric terms with 5 of each in my collection. I'd say that CW is quite a few rungs below Brem...

Re: Watch Discomfort?

I've moved over to rubber/silicone straps for exactly this reason. I considered myself a "bracelet guy" until I realized that I was almost always uncomfortable wearing them. I don't miss them.

Re: Rubber strap - fuzz magnet

The Barton Elite silicone straps suffer from fluff attraction to a much lesser degree in my experience. They are great straps for the price too, very comfortable, look good and are quick release.

Re: Pimping up my Tudor !

I've had similar issues and have the additional problem of swelling/contracting wrists in the Florida climate that makes getting the right bracelet fit almost impossible. A possible solution is to fit a different clasp that offers more micro-adjustment options. Strapcode produces quite a few that mi...

Re: C3 mk1 chrono not resetting properly

Update: I left the chrono running for 48 hours and... no more sticking central seconds hand. I tested the action 15 times and it started up each time. Now, let's see if it stays that way.

Thank you everyone for your input

Re: C3 mk1 chrono not resetting properly

FloridaPhil does the issue appear only with short duration chrono timings or long ones too? The duration isn't the issue really. The problem arises at the start of the timing sequence - the seconds hand 'pauses' for a couple of seconds before it starts to tick. The odd thing is that it may work pro...

C3 mk1 chrono not resetting properly. Update: Resolved?

Hi all, My little C3 mk1 has given me years of great service but has recently developed an irritating, but not terminal, issue. When using the chronograph, about every third time it is operated, the central seconds hand resets to the 58s mark, not the 0s mark. I know how to realign the hands and do ...

Re: WHAT WOULD YOU DO ?

Seems to me that you can:

1. Accept the watch as-is since it is (barely) within tolerance
2. Pay CW to regulate it, and retain the warranty
3. Regulate it yourself or have someone do it and potentially lose the warranty, although how CW would know that has been done I don't know.

Re: Shipping to the USA...advice.

I would absolutely not use DHL. Every single time I have had a delivery sent to me in Florida by DHL, it's been a total nightmare. My preference, by far, is Fedex 2 day. with full insurance. They will bill you in your home currency so no currency exchange is required. Payment of duty is on the recip...

Re: Symmetry v Balance

The precise reason I don't own one CW watch with the wordmark at 9 and I never will. It offends my eyes and I remain stunned that so many people have the ability to overlook it, nevermind embrace it.
