Re: New CW Sealander Chronograph

This is a very good watch. It re-opens an accessible price point for the brand and an HAQ quartz movement is a good thing. I rather like the reverse panda with different coloured hands for each of the sub-dials and the applied indices are neat and well done. The military connection is what it is. CW...

Re: I've got a new watch and it's INCREDIBLE

I saw Andrew's Bel Canto at BWD. It was very nice.
Maybe he'll be helping CW with their marketing as that is the second part of his move away from watchfinder. Watch Marketing Consultancy.

Re: The JOMW Watch. Erebus Origin.

(The micro-adjust looks great but sucks to use). Mine works fine, it’s no harder (or easier) to use than the micro-adjustment on my CW bracelets. It was quite stiff when I first received it but soon loosened up after a few days use. My only minor criticism of the Erebus bracelet is that the quick r...

Re: The JOMW Watch. Erebus Origin.

In response to @Thirteen I'm used to the micro-adjust on at least three watch brands including CW. The Erebus is the worst one I have come across. I find the Erebus micro-adjust difficult to engage. It seems to take a lot of force to engage. More than I'm used to for sure and it sometimes doesn't en...

Re: The JOMW Watch. Erebus Origin.

The bezel. Oh, dear. It's very Pelagos-like but Tudor had the good sense to use dots rather than dashes for most of it. The narrow bezel allows a larger dial which makes the watch wear a bit larger than it is but then all the dahses and numbers draw your eye away from the dial and make the watch lo...

Re: The JOMW Watch. Erebus Origin.

I also have the teal Erebus Origin. It's a great colour. Even the wifey said so when she found it on my instagram. This is why I don't post new watches on my instagram. Here are some quick thoughts. The bracelet is excellent. The ex-Cartier watchmaker who sized it for me said it was one of the nices...

Re: Hour hand design

I've never been a fan of the sacrificial dagger hour hand which has been used by CW for a number of years now. I don't like the shape or the finishing. I have bought and kept CWs with this hour hand but it has been one of the reasons I've bought fewer CWs in the last three years or so than I otherwi...

I've owned maybe 20 and sold ten or so. Not a single regret. No intention of ever buying one back.

Re: British Watchmaker’s Day

My understanding is that Alliance tickets are not transferrable. The Alliance has a waiting list for members' tickets which are given up before the show. The Alliance will be checking names off against tickets at the door for the free member tickets. Not sure about paid tickets though.

Re: Visiting the CW facility in Switzerland

Mike's series of posts about the CW manufacturing process have been very interesting. The photos are very good and the behind the scenes insights have been fascinating. His latest post about movement making (presumably Selitta) showed just how big an industry the Swiss watch "industry" is....

Re: CW not refunding duties on watch that arrived faulty and was returned

Sounds like the sort of thing that ex-Bremont guy who joined CW is supposed to sort out, for the USA customers. Not really. This is a customer service role not a 'grow the brand role". It does seem that Mike France got involved too. This isn't the CEO's job either. Maybe Mike will help with th...

Well at least he got the country right. This did amuse me but I figured leaving comments would do neither him nor me any good.
