Re: Thank you, Forum!

Congratulations Steve. You are frequently the voice of reason and were prior to your moderator role coming about, which is a duty you preform exceptionally well.

Ever the cunning linguist, and long may it continue.

Re: The Non-Curmudgeons Corner

Had an email from a friend earlier to say an excellent local brewery (Vocation Brewery from Cragg Vale just outside Hebden Bridge) had 20% discount off certain beers from their online shop. Ordered a generous selection, enough to trigger the free delivery, at about 8.30 today and they’ve just been d...

Re: Hopefully a very long incoming

Had a text out of the blue from my dad this morning to say he was still admiring his watch every day when he puts it on.

I’m pleased he’s bonded with it and it will be his daily wear for every day to come.

Re: Pics from the walkers

Working from home today so went for a brisk walk before sitting all day my desk. To see what watch I used to time my walk to within 1/10 second you’ll have to see the NCWOTD thread.

Re: Free limited edition AM GT 1VEV CW watch up for grabs

How horrendous It will be if the nerve and disc have calcifued and cant be operated on as mentioned by the NHS guy. Focus on the positives. Doctors have to give you all the facts in order for you to give informed consent before they undertake any procedure. This means they have to give the negative...

Re: Possible free CW watch up for grabs

If Mikes operation is success he is going to thank the watch gods and gift one of his watches away. I say the watch gods should smile back on him and if anyone wins his watch, they gift it straight back as a well “done for getting through this” present. How about we all enter and the winner puts a n...

Re: Friendly Knowledge Share of the CWE 2.0 LE

^^^^^^ Lets take the recent non GMT Sealander as an example. CW have said here’s the watch, it’s 39mm and you can have black or white. The logo is like it is, the hands are what we tell you, but you have a choice of straps. It’s a success but we’ve still had people on Facebook saying, “I’d prefer it...

Re: Friendly Knowledge Share of the CWE 2.0 LE

I like this and have been watching with interest on the CWE Facebook page. One difference which stands out is the different approaches to developing these limited editions between Facebook and the Forum. The Forum tends to allow anyone to put forward ideas, some photoshop wizards mock up some pictur...

Congratulations, mine has just finished her GCSE’s but is staying on to do her A levels. Unlike me who left school at 16 to start an entering apprenticeship.

Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread

^^^^ Whereas the Mk XVIII is 51mm lug to lug and I’ve been fine with that for the last 6 years.

It’s all down to personal preference and not every watch suits everyone. Which is a good job or the waiting lists would be horrendous.

Re: Incoming (but not what I was expecting)

The IWC AD I was in earlier to look at the same pilot chrono is also a Breitling AD. I cheekily asked if they’d polish and clean my wife’s rings which they were only too happy to do. I of course had an ulterior motive as it gave me chance to browse the Breitling collection while we waited. They have...
