Re: “Collections within Collections”

An interesting question. I’ve not really planned building my collection as such but have just seemed to have randomly added watches that have appealed when funds allowed. I have bought watches I thought I would like but then looked very similar to something else in my collection. Black divers being ...

Re: Photographs From Your Past

This could go here, or it could also go in the ‘pics from the walkers thread’ but as it’s from 2013, I’ll put it here. These are from the Allendale Challenge, a 26 mile long distance challenge walk across the Northumberland moors to raise money for the local mountain rescue. It’s considered to be qu...

Re: Photographs From Your Past

I understand that in 2005 over 100,000 turned up during the week. Are we talking Rockabilly a la Stray Cats? scooter The Summer Jamboree is a festival of 40s/50s American music. So yes, some Rockabilly (The Stray Cats actually played the festival in 2008) but all kinds of rock n roll and blues base...

This photo was taken at the Summer Jamboree music festival in Senigallia, Northern Italy back in 2005. Can you spot me? 5A3FBF08-522C-4392-B3BB-80A1E10CEE98.jpeg Here’s a clue..... Re: What are you drinking right now....?

Been home brewing for years. This is from a kit made by a company called Mangrove Jacks but brewed with malt extract instead of brewing sugar. All conditioned and served from one of my home brew mini keg. It’s a taste sensation

This is one of the most comfiest straps I’ve worn
Those Red Rock canvas straps are quite stiff when first new but once the polymer bonding layer softens up they really do mould to your wrist and wear fantastically.

Re: Short notice advice needed

Hope your operation goes well Mike, I’m sure I’m not the only one on here that is eager to hear how it all goes. In such a short space of time you’ve become one of the forum family and I’m sure I can speak on behalf of those who might not read this to say we all have our fingers crossed for you.

Re: Watches and politics

I personally don’t see any link between my political leanings and my watch buying preferences. I feel my love of watches is down more to the engineering and craftsmanship behind them which stems more from my education and career choice than my political beliefs. Back in the mid 90s as a student, I h...

Re: Can I wear my watch while Golfing ?

Slight thread drift, but along similar lines, is it safe to run when wearing an automatic watch? By run I actually mean run, not someone jogging at barely more than fast walking pace. Neil Back in my running days I’d often forget to swap to my garmin before going out for a run. The only time I had ...

Re: Non CW of the Day

iain saw that I had purchased a Bremont and very kindly gifted me a very cool strap he had for his :D Top bloke  And I must say it looks great on you new watch. It’s just been sat in my strap box since I sold my S301 about 18 months ago so I’m pleased you can make good use of it. Hopefully...

Re: BREMONT - a Visit to The Wing

Sounds like a great experience. I had seen the video of the brothers at the opening with the drone tour of the building and it does look impressive. I may have got this wrong but can’t anyone book onto a tour if they pay the fee? Which I think was mentioned to be around £25 each? Assuming it’s not a...
