Re: what does the daytona mean to you?
Well all I can say is that my white Daytona would probably be the last watch I ever sell... against some pretty stiff competition. 'nuff said Richard - enjoy it for what it is - a marvellous looking timepiece with an excellent movement / finish and better than money in the bank. Also they wont chang...

Re: Marloe (UK)
Was a early backer for the Marloe - really lovely watch for the outlay and they treat their customer very well indeed. Followed up with a Lomond Chronoscope Panda - even more lovely and the loyalty discount / first refusal was excellent although even at RRP £449 it is a lot of watch with chrono / ce...

http://www.steffans.co.uk/tag-heuer-mens-autavia-02-chronograph-stainless-steel-watch.html Whilst I have no affinity with the jeweller, it is from today available via Steffans in the UK on pre-order with factory beads of rice classic bracelet £4k. £3900 on tan leather (WHY would you - easily bought ...

Re: Hodinkee editorial critical of the CW C9 DB4 1 VEV
Common sense from a proper watch journal, upheld by the very audience we are told CW is aiming for (or they were advised to). I'm sure the marketing company will duly ignore the feedback.
A shame, given that Hodinkee has been very good advocates of CW in the past

Re: Name the new C1 collection.....
Back on track Kip... some great ideas although Stirling Moss' has been mis-spelt somewhere in the thread as "Sterling" to make a silver connection... My offerings (apologies if I have repeated any but I've skim read the thread) 1) "Brun". The latest CW font is LL Brown, David Bro...

Re: Anyone preordered a C65 Mk II?
Silence broken - the crown issue sounds half cocked to me like the rest of the brand reinvention...I'll wager the bracelet on the new C65 will carry the CHR logo as well for some time... I simply cannot see myself buying one of these new logo'd ones with the awful font / positioning and that is afte...

Ooh the bead blasted grey model is more intriguing. Shame about the "hand wound" and the 20mm lugs on such a huge face. CW used 20mm on my c9 chrono and the fle - not that bad.... Out of curiosity and the fact I like it, I've ordered one - will report back on delivery Just have to make ro...

Re: Marloe Watches - new Kickstarter brand
Yeah, it's quite large for a dress watch. £269 via Kickstarter it seems. Nope, £149 at this phase (£129 intro offer fully subscribed, but you do get the leather pouch)...
