09:00 or 21:00
I have managed to get confused as to the date and time of day. I'm not sure whether my watch is showing 09:37 or 21:37. Any suggestions?

Re: One of us! One of us!
I find the clasp a little tricky too, but I'm getting used to it. I had a bit of a hangup about getting the end into the belt loops before closing the clasp. Now I don't bother with that and find it slips in easily enough after the clasp has been clicked shut. Is "the last hope in the strap&quo...

Re: No Mention of CW Watches in 'GQ Watch' Magazine
... they're there with their ... What a treat for the grammar gurus! Back on topic, it certainly wasn't an ad that got CW to my attention. I suspect that "word of web" works very nicely for this type of brand. Something just a little off beat and geeky which doesn't need huge volumes to s...

Re: New sales-corner rule
BTW, I assume that the 30 limit corresponds with promotion from "Newbie" to "Junior"? I think it's an obvious rite of passage. (Personally, I'm not a collector and am already so attached to my C10 that I can't see myself trifling with another. Anyway, I have a very limited number...

Re: New sales-corner rule
If you have any interest at all in the forum, the posts mount up very quickly. I really don't see 30 posts as a high bar. Especially when I can drop helpful comments like this in so many places.

nbg,
I agonised over 007 for ages.
We have a sacred bond. (Now you have the profane Bond's number.)
I hope yours gives you as much satisfaction as mine is giving me.

Re: Seeing In The Dark- Luminescence In Watches
... There's an experiment on WUS comparing C1, C3, and Seiko Lumbrite. Since most CW watches use C1 lume the longevity of the lume can be inferred from that experiment. Also as a good guide, UV lights are better at charging lumes than fluorescent lights which in turn are better than incandescent li...

Re: Quartz or Automatic
"When I hear the word "culture" I reach for my automatic." Doesn't really work with "quartz", does it? Yes, I know that quartz watches are simply better at the key job of a watch: telling the time. But there is something about having a throwaway key component that has a...

Re: Seeing In The Dark- Luminescence In Watches
In purely practical terms, has anyone come up with practical guidance on how long we need to expose our watches to light to get a visible glow in the dark? For example: Watch Light source Distance Time exposed Visibility after x hours of dark m h 0 1 2 3 4 5 ... C10 100W 2 1 2 2 1 1 1 0 Where: 0=Inv...

Question: screwing down the crown of the C10
The manual recommends that after setting, you screw down the crown from the third position. Can someone explain this to me? It seems to me that if you rotate it moves the hands and if you press it goes in to second or first position  n. How can I tell whether the crown is fully screwed in? Tha...
