Re: the watch snob looks up cwl
I do agree with him about the size. I wish cw would get their dress watches down to the 40-41mm size like the 39mm malvern. 43mm is too big. In my little humble opinion!

Re: What INSPIRES your watch purchases?
Last watch I bought was a Tissor PRC200 Chrono. I wanted something clean and classic looking and that I could play golf with. It has a quartz movement so the shock wouldn't be a problem. It also is 39mm which turns out to be the perfect size for me. 40mm would be the exact size I'd prefer! Next watc...

Re: My first CW - C9 Harrison Auto
Thanks for the size update. It's such a gorgeous watch, I think I'll eventually have to get one...but for now, I think I'm going to have to look at the malvern closer!
thanks man!

Re: My first CW - C9 Harrison Auto
Beautiful watch...I myself and looking at the C9 Harrison. Right now I've narrowed down my first mechanical to the C9 or the Hamilton Jazzmaster Auto Day/Date that is 40mm. My Tissot PRC200 Chrono is 39mm. How is the size? I'm a little worried that it will be a little big for my wrist. My everyday w...

Re: First Mechanical Watch-Budget of $550..Help!
I play golf (badly) and i wouldn,t wear an auto for playing due to the shock factor on a bad shot. I am sure it would be fine but i don,t take the risk and wear a quartz or nothing. I've actually thought about that. After doing some digging, it seems to be divided...half say it's alrigh...

Re: First Mechanical Watch-Budget of $550..Help!
Thanks for the wrist shot guy! It does look pretty big. That does help. Any more wrists shots would be awesome! I play golf in a watch, and this might be a tad too large. Any other golfers out there?

Re: First Mechanical Watch-Budget of $550..Help!
Don't worry about the Sellita movement - it's practically identical to the ETA. The C9 is a lovely watch (particularly the white dial / gold indices version). However, you say you're after a 40-42mm watch. The C9 is 43mm and arguably wears a little bigger as it has practically no bezel. So make sur...

Re: First Mechanical Watch-Budget of $550..Help!
I won't mind the 43mm as my everyday Tag Aquaracer 500m is 43mm. I'd prefer it over the 39mm Malvern! Thanks for the input guys! I'm pretty much sold on the Harrison!! After all the research I've done, there is no difference.....other than name!

I've read a ton of his articles and though he contradicts himself on many occasions, he does have some great insight on some affordable pieces on rare occasion.

Re: Dress/Classic Watch Range
I think that dive watches, while probably are over done with suits, can still be worn with a suit as long as the strap is not rubber!

First Mechanical Watch-Budget of $550..Help!
Hey Guys, New to the CW forum and mechanical watches. I own a couple of Tags, a Tissot Chrono, and a couple of Citizens. However, I'm getting ready to purchase my first mechanical and I really like the Harrison C9 but can't seem to get past the Sallita movement instead of the ETA. Can someone enligh...
