Re: The Golf Topic

It makes sense, Steve. If you think your ball might be lost you can hit a provisional third from the tee. And then pick it up if you find your original ball. When I played at Pitlochry in the 80s (lovely little course) the first five holes were all uphill with an out of bounds down the right. Being ...

Re: The Golf Topic

^^^ I “think”... If you return to the tee you can play your third shot. One shot penalty. If you take a drop and play the ball from a point near to where the ball was lost but no closer to the hole, I think that’s a two shot penalty and you are playing four. Someone please correct me if that’s wrong.

Re: The Olympics

^^^ Watched it this morning, Steve. I prefer the racing for reasons stated earlier, but I agree it was incredible!

Re: C60 Titanium

SOBBO is definitely wrong for that watch. It stands for a plain steel case with blue dial and bezel (I think - I’m useless on codes!) I’d suggest: 1. Check with seller if you can. Did they put the wrong booklet in by mistake if they own several C60s? 2. If no joy there, email a photo of the watch an...

Re: C60 Titanium

Thanks, Alex.

Rob, I think this is the page you want.

Unfortunately we are lacking a few model photos for these, but from the description:
  • Both are C60 Trident Mk2
  • Version 1 has grey lumed indices and hands, V2 has white.
Does that make sense?

Re: The Olympics

But, my favourite athlete of the games so far is Georgia Taylor-Brown. The strength she showed overcoming the flat tyre in the individual event to get silver and then that first leg last night, absolutely superb  Absolutely. Superb! GB seem to be doing really well so far - the swimmers, triat...

Re: The Olympics

With regard to the Triathlon, I was careful (as was @TigerChris) not to give any spoilers, if that's what you mean. I referred to British success in the BMX, but that was much later, as I watched a recording of that, but I still didn't give the precise results. Ah, no – I already knew the results. ...

Re: The Olympics

What tennis and golf are doing though is definitely not cricket. You may well be right. I’d love to see Federer trying to smash a Dukes across Wimbledon, or Jimmy Anderson trying to knock one in for a crafty birdie at Lytham. Mind you, I bet Moeen’s nimble fingers could put a few interesting spins ...

Re: The Olympics

Loved that Triathlon relay - what a race. Agree with JAFO, didn’t seem 1hr 30mins - I haven’t moved watching it! Triathlon relay. Well that was great. They said it was about 1 hr 30 mins. Seemed much shorter than that. That's a great format. Good grief, boys! Commenting on the action, that’s a tad ...
