Re: GShock metal conversion

Despite all the negative opinions of AliExpress, I've seen a lot of positive reviews of the available steel G-Shock conversions. I've had satisfactory results buying car mod parts on AliExpress. I think it really comes down to researching what you are buying. I've ordered shift paddles and LED boot ...

Why is there always at least one guy in these "look at how rich we are" watch videos that dresses like an absolute douchebag? That is the ugliest jacket I've ever laid eyes on.

Re: Ask Jimbo

Our miles sound more manly than kilometres. We don't need big numbers to make distances appear longer, yet quicker to cover. I suspect shandy swilling runners and cyclists use kilometres to show off to friends as "I did 60k today!" sounds like they went further than 40 miles....but they d...

Propane or charcoal?
Both. Propane for quick weekday meals, charcoal for weekends.

Re: Show us your socks or fancy shirts!

No fancy socks or shirts for me this week (until late August actually, now that school is over), but I did get some new laces! Nothing to crazy for me, though. 3B7401E5-501C-4B53-B22C-755EE3412456.jpeg Thanks for sharing. Always looking for some fun laces for my shoes and boots. Colourful boot lace...

Re: Ask Jimbo

England is ostensibly on the Metric system. Why are distances measured in miles, weights in stone (unless cooking), beer in pints, and oven temperatures in seemingly arbitrary numbers from 1 to 9?

Re: Well that joy didn’t last long!

That really is disappointing. I think CW is starting to compete at a price point where the QC really needs to be spot on, and I don't think it is. Flaws will always get missed, but it seems to be happening with too much frequency.

Re: Vehicles for Adventure

I drive an estate car (maybe referred to as a station wagon..?), which isnt very offroad but gets to 60mph in under 5 seconds and fits my 8 1/2st dog in so itll do for me! I'm sorry, but this is completely unacceptable. You CANNOT post that you have a sub 5 second estate, and then not share a pictu...

Re: C40 speedhawk recent service. Not happy.

I can't comment on the price/value as I have little experience, but I would have expected that any watch would be cleaned before staring servicing? Surely not doing so makes a nonsense of all these photographs of sterile servicing environments. finger gloves etc. This. It's akin to performing surge...

Re: My ‘failed’ watch collection

Like the Autavia it failed to impress customers who’s preference was for the Seamaster Aqua Terra. Visually similar but with one big difference, the Aqua Terra came with a date window. Isn't it odd that the Railmaster failed due to a lack of date, but the same "flaw" is a defining charact...

Re: C40 speedhawk recent service. Not happy.

£250 for a service of an automatic chronograph is more than reasonable in the current climate. What's wrong with using the same packaging? CW do not provide a refurbishment / polishing service. Are you expecting too much? Frankly - yes. Guy CW may not provide polishing, but I would expect a proper ...
