Re: Porsche Design 911GT3

The only 911 connections I have are either diecast and fit in my hand, or Lego. :D The watch looks great, but like many, is not one for me. Nice one to grab. I have a Porsche Design fountain pen. :p Not the greatest nib, frankly. But PD is owned by a brother of the owners of the Porsche car company...

Re: From your largest to your smallest....

I probably have the biggest difference between : my largest - original C60 Red FLE at 43mm and my smallest - Omega vintage Seamaster De Ville 28mm edition. 43mm is a bit too large for me in general, and the Red FLE looks weird on the original steel bracelet, but it's actually fine on a tropic/silico...

Re: Upgraded C1 Moonglow

I like the sportier look and the white lume is sooo much nicer than the previous green one.

Pity the WR is still only 30m despite the tougher looking case.

Re: Small Seconds

I have a fair number of small seconds watches, so it's fair to say I am partial to them. The first lot listed below are more or less of the "expected" type of ss watches. - my vintage Longines and Gruen gold watches - my Nomos Orion and Tetra2 [the Alpha movement is based on the Peseux 700...

Re: CW not refunding duties on watch that arrived faulty and was returned

Sounds like the sort of thing that ex-Bremont guy who joined CW is supposed to sort out, for the USA customers.

Re: Hour hand design

I always thought they just wanted the hand to have more than one plane, so that it would reflect light at different angles.

Re: The twelve ti new colours.

.... I've previously spoken to Will Brackfield (CW Designer) about this, before launch. The more severe gradient on the 40mm Ti model is to help reduce the apparent size of the dial, i.e. make it wear a little smaller. On the 36mm Ti this isn't needed so much as the dial is smaller to start with, h...

What are the possibilities???
satin-finished titanium?

Maybe smoothness similar to the Damasko (ice-hardened steel) case?

But with lots of lume like the Moon and Power Glows?

* trying very hard to imagine that *

Re: Smart Watches and the Smaller Watch Trend

When I am on the skytrain in Bangkok, I cannot help but notice huge G-Shocks (or their fake equivalent) dangling on smallish Asian wrists, both male and female. Before I relocated to Thailand, I was once asked to purchase a 40mm Panerai in the UK for my others halfs nieces boyfriend, now husband (T...

Re: 25.1.24 teaser

If I did not already have my BB36 and my 38mm Trident 600 GMT, I might be interested. Is it too small or not to have GMT hand? I don't think so. The pictures look fine. I'm pretty happy with my 3-hander Ball EH which is 34mm (ETA 2892-2) and has a pretty chunky rotating bezel. It's not hard to read....

Re: Smart Watches and the Smaller Watch Trend

I don't wear smart watches nor do I want to, but surely 1 thing a smartwatch should have is a screen large enough to display all the text/data/graphics/icons/etc that they are supposed to? And if it's a touchscreen, the icons/buttons have to be big enough so people's fingers can hit the target accur...

Re: 25.1.24 teaser

I'm all for the 36mm Ti Twelve! Mainly because of the better movement with higher PR, not so much the titanium. Thinking seriously about the lagoon blue model. Like I said before, after years of complaining about CW's 42 mm and above sizes, I'm happy with the swing back to smaller sizes. But I'll wa...
