Re: Paris attacks

I think you'll find the key phrase is: "religion of peace". No, I won't apologise for that. I am quite fed up with it all. There are, sadly, no answers. I am very depressed and upset. I suppose that's what they want but I shall carry on with life and I shall continue to have muslim ...

Re: Korkki - September 2015

Amazing, Korkki. Great collection. You certainly know what you like - then buy all of it! The C5 Slimline group is gorgeous, but I suspect my favourite is a watch I don't own (and probably wouldn't as it's quartz and I am averse - but it looks lovely): the C3 SWK MK II http://i57.tinypic.com/xpym1f....

Re: Biggest sporting upset?

Unbelievable. I am trying to think of a comparable analogy from other fields but it really is impressive. Japan were 80-1 before the match, apparently! I suppose that this is the signal that the underdogs have now caught up on the professional game of making size matter, and finally we can return to...

Re: A Sad loss

I am so sad to hear this. I always enjoyed reading Cirrus's informative posts and 39 is far too young an age to go. What a shock for Gill and the rest of the family; my thoughts are with you.

Re: Latest CW Mag.

Really enjoyable read with some nice "interest" pieces on people and thoughts on time, etc. Glad to see the response to demand on new models (especially the expansion of the new Trident range). The Spitfire is rather ugly and I must confess I thought "even with bits of metal they can'...

Re: C5 Battle Of Britain Price Increase And New In Stock Dat

If they are making new ones (and it appears they are) will they really still have the old logo?

(Can of worms opened...)

Re: CWL of the day

I'm a bit of a novice with CW, so forgive me! This looks much different than the C60 currently made. Is this a special edition or just an older standard model? And are those rubber inserts in the bezel? The C6 kingfisher was the original model to use the C6 case. In 2007 the forum commissioned thei...

Re: Save the Date - 2 July 2014

Won't be English made Will be new in house movement This. It will be the new Johannes Janke movement, which will be a new movement available as an alternative to the 2824, 2836, etc. I still think we are looking at three different models, and the movement will eventually appear in other brands (For...

Re: A Special Competition.....A must Read

Well done chaps all round. We look forward to hearing your reports. Disappointed some cynical sour grapes decided to question the motivations behind how CWL selected the winner... I am sure it was all good fun and perfectly fair. I'd like to read the winning entries though, as I'm sure they were ent...

Re: Trident 61 Blue or Black

My better half wears a blue C61 as her daily wear. It's not at all blingy but the polished bits do make it look dressy enough for work as well as casual wear. The blue is bright in some lights but in general is nicely understated.

Surely someone will make parts via a 3D printer? One of you technical chaps will suggest this, right?

Re: The Timefactors PRS 9 Czech Air Force Watch

I've had five and the quality varies from somewhere above CWL (Speedbird, PRS18A) to basic Seiko 5 level (PRS3LE). They can be decent but the praise on TZ-UK is unwarranted and wouldn't happen if it wasn't his forum.

Re: The Timefactors PRS 9 Czech Air Force Watch

Yeah, but you gotta buy from Eddie and deal with the quality of a timefactors piece.
