Re: C65 Super Compressor on smaller wrist

I have a 6” wrist. It does look a little larger on my wrist than others of this size likely due to the shield shape of the case. The lug to lug is fairly compact though and it sits nicely on the wrist and is very comfortable for me. It’s my most worn watch. If I can deal with it and love it with a 6...

Re: The Perfect Size!?

I can be accused of flip flopping on the subject of size, but I really do think anyone can wear anything. It’s all in the mind. I don’t get those who say they will wear 40mm but definitely not 39mm. Such a minute difference to box yourself out of a watch that could be perfect. But hey, to each thei...

Re: A hybrid strap question.

Many thanks Gents, excellent as ever. Alex, the advertised black/ orange hybrid is edged in orange, this is the look I’d go for. My friend seems to want the full on black/orange hybrid with orange edging and a centre-band. For me, that’s too much for the watch and I’d plump for the advertised one. ...

Re: The Perfect Size!?

6” wrist here. Maybe even a little under 6. The top side of my wrist is a scant 46mm, and slopes to the back making watches wear larger in general and slide to the back. I’m definitely an outlier! That being said, I’ve happily worn anything from 36-45mm. The one 45mm I owned was 53mm l2l and 15mm de...

Re: A hybrid strap question.

I have both the V1 and V2 hybrids, and the V2 are definitely more flexible and comfortable. I enjoy wearing the V2 where I never enjoyed wearing the V1. Buy the V2 hybrid with confidence.

I personally think the elite looks the best on the black/orange hybrid. Besides the bracelet of course.

Re: Incoming - C65 Super Compressor Ocean Blue

Just to add I put my blacksand (from Iain) on the timegrapher again and its readings are great at +6 (face up) and a really small deviation to +4 after 5 mins of readings, Like I mentioned the new SC is fluctuating all over the place from +2 to +18 and back again all the time. Is this normal? Shoul...

Re: “Collections within Collections”

^^^ Good point, I never really thought about it but maybe subconsciously I also have a “not too similar test”. My sub collection works because even though they’re all C60s, they are about as dissimilar as you can get within the collection. And I recently sold a Tissot black dial chronograph, telling...

Re: “Collections within Collections”

I like this! The best I can do is a sub collection of all the sizes of mk3 C60 available: 38/40/42 in the guise of the GMT, Sapphire and Abyss. No real rationale in this sub-collection, as I didn’t set out to do this. I just bought the 3 at different times because I liked how they look. Even though ...

Re: C63 Sealander Collection

The normal C63 Auto just looks.....dull. Come on CW, where is the flair. At 599 I'd save 100 quid and get the quartz C65 AM 1 VEV Special Edition. There, one case where a quartz is hands down better than an auto. You're comparing apples to oranges on that one. If you're expecting the C63 auto to be...

Re: What are you drinking right now....?

Rye hipster brunch stout from Oddside Ales in Grand Haven, MI. A coffee/maple syrup/bacon/rye malt stout aged in rye whiskey barrels.

4/5, will drink again.
