Re: The Golf Topic

^^^It's Cranfield golf club, also known as Golf Kingdom, Whalebone Lane, Romford. Par 64/4260 yds. Hence the low scoring on strokeplay and high on Stableford. Regards Steve There's a couple of websites (swingbyswing and bluegolf) that list this course as having a slope of 110/113. However it's not ...

Re: The Golf Topic

It’s good for the self confidence to keep scoring 40 something points but it clearly indicates that your handicap is completely wrong. If you are playing regularly on a course that doesn’t have a slope rating and is only Par 62 then it must be excluded from the Golf England courses because it doesn...

Re: Things that bothered you as a child?

Hola a Todas

My Grandad would ask "How's Stinker ? "
Our cats name was Tinker.
He added when challenged "I can't say Tinker, I can only say Stinker" drove me nuts !

Mr Parlequin the scary ventriloquist dummy, I was petrified of him.

Re: Introducing The Omega Seamaster Diver 300M In Ceramic And Titanium

Hola a Todas PXL_20210717_151235798.jpg Here's my new acquisition, not ceramic but it ticks all the boxes mentioned and is 2k less, The bezel seems to divide opinion, along with the usual stuff featured on the Omega. The ceramic version looks fantastic too, but it was too expensive for me, also pric...

Re: The Golf Topic

"Hola" Scored 40 points again today. It's not my fault, honestly. The self appointed Captain of our gang has stated that as our course doesn't have a slope rating, we can't adjust our handicaps based on our scores there. Our local rules apply, I'm off 24 based on scores made on all other c...

Re: Another new Tudor….

 I love it, how are you finding the upgraded clasp ? Now I've got old eyes, I found the hands are by far the most legible of any I've seen. It will be interesting to see how the bronze changes over time. I thought the added 3,6,9 numerals might put me off, but they look great, much better t...

Re: The Golf Topic

Visited the range twice today, it paid off, as I had a cracking round this evening. Got 47 Stableford points, didn't score on the 18th but shot a 77. Our little gangs course record, it's a par 64. The YouTube tips are working for me ! AVO, that trip to St Andrews, sounds fantastic. I've never seen a...

^^^Zipping around on that, I'm not surprised it's a smile enducer.

I haven't ridden for years, but it's something to consider, as I spend a lot of time stuck in London's traffic.

Re: Pressure Testing

You would have thought, after 12 plus years on a watch forum, I would have all this knowledge. And not even have to enquire on here.
I should be answering questions not asking them.
I don't think I'll ever reach the rank of WIS.

Small displacement Motorcycle (Monkey bike)

I've got no clue why this popped into my news thread, but I thought I recognised, the cover star, so thought it might be of interest. "7 Reasons Why a Small Displacement Motorcycle is a Great First Bike | motorcycleshows.com" https://motorcycleshows.com/content/7-reasons-why-small-displace...

Re: Pressure Testing

^^^ Thanks, I've got another repairer to visit tomorrow, so I'll get a price from him. I've never been asked if I required this testing, whenever I've had a battery change, so if it is a cheap service, I'm not sure why they wouldn't offer it. After all, they are checking their own work is done corre...
