Re: The Plan

Great watch, and (in my eyes) it has better proportions than the original Black Bay.

Congrats!

Re: Post a picture from your latest ride

Looks like a great trip Richard- and you've lucked out with the weather! How are you findling longer trips on the new Duke? Yeah, the weather was a real bonus. Both days were clear, dry and warm. Everything you could ask for, especially in September. As for the bike, we did about 420 miles over 2 d...

Correct on both fronts, scooter. It was mostly new territory for me, and certainly somewhere I'd be keen to revisit. Here's a couple more images from yesterday and today...

Re: Post a picture from your latest ride

Terrific day in mid Wales today including the magical A483 south of Newtown. The weather was spot on. Here’s a couple of pictures from the road above Llyn Brianne reservoir, which seemed to have a very low water level (although I have no clue how it normally looks at this time of year) https://uploa...

Re: Watch valuation advice wanted.

The archive has information about resales - https://cwarchive.knack.com/cwarchive#model-sale-info/

Alternatively, have a look at past sales on ebay or in the sales sub-forum on here.

Re: Used vs new prices

^^^ No, it’s not to make it easier. :) Either way, Kip needs to convert local sales into one currency or the other, so it makes no difference. Fact is, the history data we had was all in USD… We did discuss storing all sales in actual currency together with the prevailing exchange rates. We would th...

Re: Used vs new prices

the prices on the CW Archive are expressed in US dollars. It may have been answered before, so apologies if that is the case. Also, it may be of interest to newer members. But why for a British watch company are the prices shown in US dollars? It’s because the data is collected and entered by a tea...

Re: Used vs new prices

Finally, the archive can be useful but in my experience can be a bit off the mark, not sure if it’s because of where the sales are recorded or based on exchange rates but the U.K. conversion can be £100s off for some models. Out of interest, which models are off by £100’s? I’d like to take look in ...
