Alex r wrote:Really nice collection nice to see the C9 has made it through the transition stage. And shows consolidating for a grail can work.
I wonder which will survive another year, the serial flippers find it hard to break the cycle too much temptation on here
Hard to break the cycle lol
And yes, consolidation is good !
The C9 should be with me for a while more, though I doubt if it makes it into next year.
much evolution. i'll have to wait and see if i really believe you've hit a stable point. but you did go through a lot of work to get to where you are now. an enviable collection that happened quite fast.
btw, fantastic choice of rum. probably the best value out there in rum. tastes great with a really good lemonade, too.
in fact, i even have the limited edition ceramic bottle.
Hey Greg,
I only bought the bottle because I always see it in your pics and it was just $13 at Vons. I am yet to open it though, I appreciate the mixing with lemonade tip - looks tooo dark
The only other spiced rum I have tried is Captain Morgan, so I don't have very high standards
Also the bottle makes a great photo prop.
cpt morgan is very vanilla flavored. kraken has a lot more to the "spice" side. more well-rounded. i generally avoid cpt morgan if i can get krakan or, for coke mixer, sailor jerry's.
Captain Morgan Black is a decent spiced rum as well. More spice, less vanilla and sweetness than regular Captain Morgan. I do like the Kraken though, and have yet to try Sailor Jerry.
An interesting journey. Bet most of us have 'those watches' that sit outside our main collection. Enjoyed the size and variance of your 2015 lot, reckon by the end of 2016 it will be near that again perhaps. The Sinn will be a welcome addition when the time is right
