gatehealing - July 2015

Post by gatehealing »

Still trying to decipher settings and technique to use my dslr, but phone makes it easier to post via tapatalk. Look for better pix next time!

I started with a Victorinox (not pictured since traded), a c65 and a Slimline. The rest is a blur that wound up as 16 watches (18 if you count the Lyneham RAF for my dad and the deco for my stepmom).

These are the most recent, The soda diver brothers, Squale Root Beer and Steinhart Pepsi GMT premium:

Next we have my c50 COSC and Frederique Constant Classics MoonPhase:
Image

Here are Big Blue c9 chrono and my Ball Trainmaster Fahrenheit (insert joke about blue ball here...):
Image

The c10 FLE and new Atlantic Art Deco:
Image

For a bit of color, my Kemmner Tonneau, and my go to daily watch, c65:
Image

The Frankenbugle (a c7 BRGLE [thus bugle] that had the original green bezel replaced with a black bezel [thus Frankenstein reference--both because it's a mix and match, and because the popular image of Frankenstein has him with green skin and black hair!]), and the blue Slimline:
Image

I initially wasn't too keen on the c20 lido, but as larger cases grew on me, I had to have one! Beside it is my favored c1 Russell--the watch that got me going on the sales corner (thanks Paul!):
Image

My new Orient Sun & Moon is one of my most accurate!
Image

And saving the best for last is my grandfathers Girard Perregaux Gyromatic. Papa was like a saint to me and I'm thrilled to have this one I my collection. I believe there is another someplace that the Atlantic reminds me of:

I have a few pocket watches too, but I'll keep this to wrist worn this time!

Thanks for all the trades, sales and buys! Look forward to many more!

Excellent collection. Thank you for sharing.
You need to get a strap on that GP. :)

Excellent collection Jon. The big blue, the Kemmner and the C65 would be my favourites here...

Yeah, I'm trying to find somebody I trust to clean up the case, replace the crystal and service the movement. I have the bracelet it came on, but it's broken, so I'll try to either get it fixed (preferred since it was original) or get a new one once I get it fixed up.

Anybody know somebody trustworthy in Central Tx?

That's a very nice collection; great to see the C1 among them. Still one of CW's best efforts IMO.

Great collection there! Love the Steinhart GMT. I've got to find a way to add one to my box! Heresy to say here, but I've been thinking of selling my C60 GMT to make it happen :?
