Bracelet strap problem
Sadly I have a problem with the bracelet on my C7 Bluebird.
I noticed that the shoulder end piece is away from the case.
I tried to take the shoulder end piece off and replace the spring bar in case it wasn't quite right and I eventually managed it, what a faff about.... ! But sadly no difference.
I'll try and take a photo later but has anyone an idea on what's wrong and how to fix it ?
I can bring it to 'my guy' in the Jewelers I deal with if I have to.
Thanks for your help in advance.

Re: Bracelet strap problem
Sorry to hear of your problems Ferg.
Really difficult to suggest answers without photos, but I'll try anyway. Hope you can get them up soon.
In the meantime, are you able to clarify, is it the fitted end of the strap that is coming away from the case or is it the fitted end coming loose form the rest of the bracelet.
If its the former, I would suggest its a spring bar issue. Try refitting the bracelet with a new spring bar.
PS> Removing bracelets with fitted end are always a faff, as you have to aim to squeeze in both ends of the spring bar at the same time.
PPS> Have you by any chance caught the bracelet on something and therefore tugged it, such that it has pulled it loose?

Re: Bracelet strap problem
Thanks Guy,
It's at the fitted end coming from the case. I think I may have caught it with my microfiber cloth.
Here are some photos.

Re: Bracelet strap problem
Has to be springbar fitment. There is no way that the end link (assume they are solid) could deform enough to cause that. There is also no way that the case would deform. (Unless there are support lugs that could bend)
You haven't put a thinner springbar in there have you Ferg?
If not, then the bar has either bent or is no longer seated properly.
Good luck buddy!

I did swap out the springbar but only after it happened so not the initial cause.
I have to bring my C65 to my Jeweler guy to get a link added so I'll bring the Bluebird with me as well so he can sort it.
I tried to do it myself but just too difficult for me to manage.

Re: Bracelet strap problem
Finally got this sorted today, he actually had to put in a thinner springbar to sort it.

Glad you got it sorted Ferg, although the solution seems obscure.

Re: Bracelet strap problem
I have a different query now but Bracelet strap related so I'll post it here :
How easy or hard is it to swap the clasp of the Trident Bracelet ?
I have a 3 hole micro adjustment clasp on my C65 and I have a 5 hole micro adjustment clasp on another Trident bracelet.
I'd like to swap them. The reason I'm not just swapping the bracelets is that one is brushed(C65) and the other one has PCL's
Thanks in advance

Re: Bracelet strap problem
Ferg,
Just checked my Bluebird (5 hole) and C60 (3 hole) and I think you just need to remove the short links from each end to swap the buckle. The C60 has the diver extension fastened to the buckle end of the bracelet but removing those short end links should allow you to swap them over.
Let me know how you get on as I would much prefer the 5 hole buckle on my C60's to the 3 hole and diver extension.

Re: Bracelet strap problem
Thanks for that Paul
I'll see can I get them swapped over as it would sort my C65 sizing problem.
I assume these are held on with the same pin and collar setup as the main links ?

Re: Bracelet strap problem
Think they might just be regular spring bars?
